Here’s a look at a handful of players they may be willing to part with if the offer is right.
The two sides aren’t actively talking and the team made clear they aren’t interested in setting the market for the position.
If Prescott is traded, it likely doesn’t happen until after the draft, but he deserves to be included here as a just-in-case.
A Parsons trade would likely surpass what the Raiders received for Khalil Mack when they first sent him to Chicago.

Here are a few players Dallas could be open to trading if the offer is right. Will Dallas get involved? Certainly, the Cowboys would be trading picks for additional picks in a capital for capital scenario, but in these kinds of situations, all the bases ought to be covered.
Dak Prescott, quarterback.
Although unlikely, the relationship between the team and the franchise quarterback in the last year of his contract isn’t good right now. The team has stated that they are not interested in determining the market price for the role, and the two parties are not actively communicating. It’s a different story if they have any leverage.
With a no-trade clause that would let him pick his destination, the MVP candidate is still young in his QB years and is coming off of his best season. Prescott should be listed here just in case, even though it’s unlikely that he will be traded until after the draft.
Cooper Rush, quarterback.
Trey Lance is the backup, and Prescott is probably going to stay. With one of the young quarterbacks selected, Cooper Rush remains a potential backup. Rush makes a lot of sense if they’re searching for a seasoned player who can win games and fade into the background when needed. After they get their young player in the first two days, a team may forfeit a sixth or seventh rounder.
LB Micah Parsons.
Even though this is a very unlikely scenario, it should be brought up to be thorough. The return the Raiders received for sending Parsons to Chicago in the first place would probably be greater in a Parsons trade. Parsons would return with a massive haul if you believe the rumors of disgruntled employees within the organization actually having some influence over decision-making. He has two control years left on his rookie contract (including the fifth-year option Dallas recently applied for).
DE Lawrence DeMarcus.
Although he has been a mainstay of the team for nearly a decade, he could be a one-year rental for a team looking to add him to their defensive line. Lawrence is a top edge defender with strong pass-rush skills.
Moving away from Lawrence this summer would free up $10 million in cash and $2.05 million in cap space for Dallas, as well as eliminate all dead money from 2025. He might be able to earn mid-round compensation for the team.
Lamb, WR CeeDee.
Would the Cowboys truly give up the player they persuaded to be a member of the illustrious No. 88 jersey? Probably not, but then again, they appear to be at odds with Lamb’s agency, which is attempting to extract hefty sums of money for Brandon Aiyuk and Justin Jefferson as well.
This adds to the list of Prescott and Parsons moves that should be mentioned to cover all bases even though they are unlikely to occur this draft.
