Fallout 4’s new-gen update hits PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this month, bringing with it 60 FPS, increased resolutions, stability improvements, and more.
Hot on the heels of Amazon’s Fallout TV series, which premiered yesterday with all eight episodes available for viewing, the Fallout 4 new-gen update arrives on April 25.
With this update, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players will get a new native Fallout 4 application (assuming they already own previous-gen versions of the RPG), Performance and Quality Mode settings in the game, stability improvements and fixes, 60 FPS gameplay, and increased resolutions.
On previous-gen consoles, Fallout 4 players will receive a free update with stability improvements and login and quest fixes.
If you’re a PC player, there’s a free Fallout 4 update coming to that platform as well.
Alongside the new-gen update, developer Bethesda Game Studios is releasing the following free Creation Club items: Enclave Remnants Enclave Remnants brings the Pre-War cabal, The Enclave, into the Fallout 4 storyline, according to a blog post.

Later this month, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will receive Fallout 4’s new-gen update, which includes 60 frames per second, higher resolutions, stability enhancements, and more. The Fallout 4 new-gen update will release on April 25. This comes just days after the debut of Amazon’s Fallout TV series, which features all eight episodes available for viewing.

Assuming they already own the previous-gen RPGs, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners will receive a new native Fallout 4 application, Performance and Quality Mode settings within the game, stability fixes and improvements, 60 frames per second gameplay, and higher resolutions with this update. A free update containing stability enhancements, login and quest fixes will be sent to Fallout 4 players on consoles from the previous generation.

There will be a free Fallout 4 update available for PC users as well. Along with various quest updates and fixes for Creation Kit, it will bring widescreen and ultra-widescreen support to the game. Bug, stability, and mod fixes will be applied to the PC versions of the game available on Steam, the Microsoft Store, and GOG. Additionally, Fallout 4 will be verified for Steam Decks when this update launches later this month, and the game will soon be available for purchase on the Epic Game Store.

The following complimentary Creation Club items are being released by developer Bethesda Game Studios in conjunction with the new-gen update.

Enclave Survivors.

In Fallout 4, the Pre-War cabal known as The Enclave is brought into the narrative through Enclave Remnants, a blog post claims. Players will be tasked with preventing The Enclave from imposing their ideology across the Commonwealth in a new quest known as Echoes of the Past.

Previously released Creation Club items are available to players in addition to workshop items and the Enclave Colonel uniform.

Numerous “unconventional objects that have been transformed into deatly weapons,” such as the baseball launcher, nail gun, and piggy bank, are included in this weapon pack, according to Bethesda.

Halloween Craft Studio.

38 new Halloween decorations, including witches, cauldrons, ghouls, pumpkins, skeletons, and more, are included in this pack, which was leftover from an unfortunate Halloween party hosted by the New England Technocrat Society.

April 25 is when the Fallout 4 new-gen update arrives for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
