Along with a matching watch face and dynamic iOS and iPadOS wallpapers that will be available in an upcoming software update, Apple is introducing a new Apple Watch Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, which will be available for order starting on May 22. This is in support of global movements to protect and advance equality for LGBTQ+ communities. The Pride watch face and wallpapers are now customizable to display a rainbow of colors that symbolize the diversity and vitality of LGBTQ+ communities for the first time.

ILGA World, a global federation dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ people’s rights worldwide, and the Human Rights Campaign, a global advocacy group working to ensure all LGBTQ+ people are treated as full and equal citizens, are just two examples of the LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations Apple is proud to continue supporting through this Pride Collection. Encircle, Equality North Carolina, Equality Texas, GLSEN, Equality Federation, the National Center for Transgender Equality, PFLAG, SMYAL, and The Trevor Project are among the other advocacy groups that Apple supports.

With a bright, fluorescent design influenced by several pride flags, the new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop captures the beauty and strength of LGBTQ+ communities. It also has a laser-etched lug that says “PRIDE 2024.”. While the shades of pink, light blue, and white stand for transgender and nonbinary people, black and brown stand for Black, Hispanic, and Latino communities as well as those affected by HIV/AIDS.

Bold, symbolic color is added to the Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad with the new Pride Radiance watch face and iOS and iPadOS wallpapers. The light beams stack on top of one another to symbolize the enduring impact of LGBTQ+ activism and its role in illuminating the path to greater equality for future generations. They glow against a dark background, signaling hope, strength, and camaraderie to LGBTQ+ communities.

A variety of colors are available for users to customize their watch face and wallpaper. When a user moves their wrist, the Apple Watch’s colors follow each numeral on the watch face and adjust in real time according to gyroscope data. When the user unlocks their iPhone or iPad, colorful beams that spell out “Pride” move dynamically.
