The first match we got this week saw Femi put the NXT North American Championship on the line against Ivar.
It was a weird video that wasn’t as funny as WWE was trying to make it.
Putting the championship belt on a pedestal during title matches is a cool little detail WWE has been doing more lately.

Results for WWE NXT Spring Breakin’ 2024 Night 2: Live grades, reaction, winners, and more.

The WWE.

Here is the live coverage of NXT Spring Breakin’ Week 2 on April 30 from Bleacher Report.

Thea Hail in opposition to. Jayce Jayne.

Oba Femi against. Ivar.

AOP in contrast to. both Axiom and Nathan Frazer.

Natalya against. Vice Lola.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Alongside Tyriek Igwe is Tyson Dupont.

Let’s review everything that occurred during Tuesday’s broadcast.

Oba Femi against. Ivar.

First of Seven.

The WWE.

Trick Williams’ victory over the NXT Championship last week was recapped in the first segment of the show. “Whoop that trick,” the crowd chanted as he appeared for his first promo as the new top dog. “.

Trick reminded Lash Legend that she had attempted to slap him during their previous encounter in the ring, despite her congratulations for his victory. After a few minutes of back and forth, nothing substantial was revealed or progressed, and the segment came to an end.

Femi faced Ivar for the NXT North American Championship in the first match of the week. They began by running the ropes together until the challenger was the first to be taken down. After sending Femi from the ring, he executed a senton from the apron.

It was much more exciting than some of the matches we have watched with comparable opponents because both men are powerful and fast workers.

Despite their incredible energy and athleticism, there seemed to be a missing element in this match. They cranked up the pace a little in the second half to get the crowd going, though perhaps being predictable was a contributing factor. Femi prevailed as predicted to keep his title.

After the match, Wes Lee returned and confronted the champion to make his intentions known.

Femi overcame Ivar as a consequence.

B-grade.

Famous Events and Thoughts.

The majority of The Rock’s recent WWE TV ensembles appear to have been sourced from the same collection as Williams’ outfit.

Gigi Dolin and Arianna Grace discussed the card over dinner. WWE attempted to make a funny video, but it was strange and not as funny as it was.

Seeing Ivar without Valhalla by his side was strange.

WWE has been emphasizing this neat little detail more and more these days: elevating the championship belt during title matches.

It was quite a show of strength, Femi, walking around with Ivar on his shoulders.

It’s always entertaining to watch Ivar perform a moonsault.

Hail Thea versus. Jaci Jayne.

Out of 7.

WWE.

Before Thea Hail faced off against her former friend Jacy Jayne, Chase U was seen boosting her confidence.

Instead of walking along the aisle, they passed through the crowd. Jayne was escorted to the ring by Jazmyn Nix.

Jayne grabbed her by the legs and asserted control after Hail gave her an opening slap. The ex-member of Toxic Attraction put Hail in the corner as we headed to our first break.

Regretfully, upon our return, this session had only lasted a few more minutes. Although hail winning was the correct decision, it never seemed to reach its full potential.

Fallon Henley attacked Hail after the game, seemingly out of character.

As a result, Hail beat Jayne.

A C+ is earned.

Significant Events and Thoughts.

It was hard to hear Chase U talking backstage prior to the match because of the crowd’s chant of “Welcome back” for Lee.

During the break, they performed a body scissor submission for a considerable amount of time.

A cool moment came when Hail sprung backward into a neckbreaker from Jayne.

The OC in opposition to. Dupont Tyson and Igwe Tyriek.

3/07.

NXT.

Against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe made their NXT debuts this week in a tag match.

Gallows began for The O, and both of the newcomers are huge powers. C. with the intention of exhausting them.

Gallows and Anderson emerged victorious in a shocking outcome within a matter of minutes. The decision to book Dupont and Igwe to lose in such a brief match felt odd because WWE had aired multiple video packages promoting their debuts.

The outcome was the O. B. overcame Igwe and Dupont.

D+ is the grade.

Significant Events and Thoughts.

Dupont executed an exquisite running elbow strike.

In the absence of AJ Styles, Gallows and Anderson feel lost.

A spinebuster hit by Anderson on Igwe demonstrated his strength.

Shawn Mooney against… Holland Ridge.

Out of 7.

The WWE.

Jaida Parker interrupted NXT general manager Ava Raine as she was attempting to make an announcement about an upcoming women’s match. Next to appear were Sol Ruca, Grace, and Mia Yim.

Ridge Holland and Shawn Spears squared off in the following match.

Spears was immediately trying to play mind games, but the Englishman’s power allowed him to take control quickly.

In less than two minutes, the match cut to a commercial, meaning that most of the action was only visible in picture-in-picture mode. A few minutes after we got back, Holland won.

This fight never got above second gear and lacked the necessary intensity.

Holland won against Spears.

A C-.

Particular Times and Thoughts.

This week, Spears was sporting some really stylish clothing.

Who to cheer for in this one seemed to be a mystery to the crowd.

Axion in opposition to Nathan Frazer. An AOP.

Out of 7.

NXT.

When Nathan Frazer and Axiom defended the titles against Akam and Rezar, the NXT tag titles were in play.

For AOP, Scarlett, Paul Ellering, and Karrion Kross from The Final Testament were seated ringside.

Prior to the referee raising the bell, the champions launched themselves at the challengers and got into a fight. The match commenced after AOP reconvened at the ringside. Akam quickly dispatched Frazer after it occurred.

AOP dominated their opponents for the most part of this fight. Most of the time, their strength and size proved to be too much for the high flyers.

When Kross, Scarlett, and Ellering were discovered attempting to assist, they were removed from the ringside. Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate attacked AOP, creating a distraction for the referee that allowed the champions to hold on.

Although there were some great moments and some good energy in this match, the way it ended left the champions looking a little weak.

Result: Axiom and Frazer defeated AOP.

A-minus.

Famous Events and Thoughts.

One of those gimmicks that doesn’t really accomplish anything but feels appropriate for the character is the motion-blurring they employ during Axiom’s arrival.

A good way to get the crowd excited before the match began was with a series of suicide dives.

Lil Wayne versus. Natalia.

6-7.

NXT.

Vice and Natalya’s NXT Underground match was the main attraction of Spring Breakin’ Week 2.

Shayna Baszler supported Vice, and Karmen Petrovic supported Nattie.

Performers from the Performance Center gathered around the ring and watched as the fighters instantly poured out of it.

They put a lot of effort into making this feel less like a typical wrestling match and more like a fight. The majority of the action was contained to strikes and submissions on the mat because there were no ropes.

Natalya threw Baszler out of the ring when he attempted to interfere, and she proceeded to lock Vice in a straight jacket. The Queen of Harts was forced to break her submission by Baszler after he choked Petrovic.

Vice hit her with a backfist and continued to beat her until the referee rang the bell and declared her the winner as soon as she returned to the ring.

This requirement is challenging because it isn’t a typical match. It can feel strange at times because they are using a different fighting technique on a show that mostly features traditional fights. Considering their limited resources, both women performed admirably.

Consequently, Vice overcame Natalya.

C+ is the grade.

Significant Events and Thoughts.

It was a good thing that Vice appeared far more serious than usual, given what was about to happen.

A unique feature was the vintage microphone that descended from the ceiling.

Five men stumbled to catch Natalya after she was knocked out of the ring. This was a slightly delayed reaction, as it appeared that nobody remembered they were supposed to fall.

The Last Word.

seven out of seven.

After weeks of building up to their debut, WWE booked Dupont and Igwe with the intention of losing to a team with no momentum in a matter of minutes. Hail in comparison. Spears and Jayne against. Holland was impatient as well.

The brand NXT is extremely polarizing. There are weeks that are really enjoyable and weeks that are not that great. Though, regrettably, this week was more of the latter, there were still some fun times.
