There were no In-N- Out Burger locations in the Portland area

Precise News

It’s been a busy few weeks for In-N-Out news in Portland.
Just last month, it seemed like the California-based burger chain might leapfrog the metro area altogether, abandoning plans to open in Tualatin, Beaverton or Hillsboro and jump straight to Ridgefield, Washington, its first location in the Evergreen State.
And now In-N-Out is proposing a third metro area location, this one at 13511 S.E.
It still appears likely that the Ridgefield restaurant — about a 30 minute drive north of Portland — will be the first to open.
Earlier this month, In-N-Out said the Ridgefield location would open in 2025.
In-N-Out has yet to show interest in opening a restaurant in Portland proper.
Harry and Esther Snyder founded In-N-Out Burger in 1948 in Baldwin Park, California, and the company remains under family control.
In-N-Out first reached Oregon in 2015, with the opening of its Medford restaurant.

NEUTRAL

In-N-Out news in Portland has had a busy few weeks.

At the beginning of this month, it appeared as though the California-based burger chain would bypass the metro area completely and open its first location in the Evergreen State—Ridgefield, Washington—rather than Tualatin, Beaverton, or Hillsboro.

But Washington County said, “Hold my beer,” last week. “The fast-food restaurant intends to open at 10565 S.W, overlooking neighborhood traffic concerns.”. Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway. were authorized with conditions on April 17.

In-N-Out is currently proposing 13511 S.E as the location for their third metro area location. Pre-planning documents filed with the city state that Third Way is located in a former Rite Aid store in east Vancouver. The new address was initially announced in the Columbian newspaper.

Vice president of store development at the company, Mike Abbate, released a statement saying, “We hope for a positive outcome, as we work with the city to pursue out permits and approvals.”.

Still, it seems likely that the restaurant in Ridgefield, which is roughly 30 minutes north of Portland, will be the first to open. New locations usually take eight to nine months to complete after construction starts. In-N-Out announced earlier this month that the Ridgefield location would open in 2025.

After locations in Medford, Grants Pass, Roseburg, and Keizer, the Washington County restaurant will most likely be the chain’s fifth in Oregon. As of yet, In-N-Out has not expressed interest in establishing a location in Portland.

Founded in 1948 in Baldwin Park, California by Harry and Esther Snyder, In-N-Out Burger is still run by the Snyder family. Some of the establishment’s hallmarks are their delicious burgers, crisp fries, attentive service, red and white décor, and biblical allusions (such as “John 3:16). appears on burger wrappers and cups.

In 2015, In-N-Out made its debut in Oregon when its Medford location opened. Grants Pass, Keizer, and Roseburg came next in 2017 and 2019, respectively. The business now has over 400 locations across Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Texas, and it is about to open its first restaurant east of the Mississippi in Tennessee, despite its initial vow to never grow too far beyond California.
