NONE

Samsung is getting ready to release the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. There is no going back from the company’s earlier this week teasers of foldable phones and the upcoming Unpacked event. Right now, the only things lacking are a formal launch date and venue.

Surprisingly, Samsung seems to have released information about the upcoming foldable phones in an unusual manner amid all the excitement leading up to the launch event. Through GalaxyClub, the company posted a version of the Samsung Internet Browser “for Fold7 and Flip7” to the Galaxy Store.

OS and next-generation foldable names have been confirmed.

Is a special version of the Samsung Internet Browser going to be used by the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7? It is possible, but unlikely.

In actuality, at least as of this writing, these two Samsung Internet versions are nearly identical. 28.0 is their version. It weighs 171.11 MB and is 2.43. The Galaxy Store uploaded them two days apart, and they are listed under different names. However, they are essentially the same web browser.

Because of these similarities, the only things that these Samsung Internet Galaxy Store entries appear to confirm are the names of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, as well as the fact that the upcoming phones will in fact run the One UI 8 software, which is based on Android 16.

It’s unclear why Samsung added this Samsung Internet version, which is specific to foldable devices, to the Galaxy Store. The Galaxy Store may eventually stop carrying this odd entry. Additionally, it’s possible that this version “for Fold7 and Flip7” is merely a placeholder store entry that Samsung may eventually replace with a unique web browser for the upcoming foldable phones.

As of this writing, the One UI 8 beta and the enigmatic Internet Browser version for the seventh-generation foldables are the same. We still need to figure out exactly where this will take us. We’ll update you if anything changes.
