Owners of the latest Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will get their hands on the American supercar soon.
The latest model isn’t an exception, and thankfully, a video shows just how fast the C8 Corvette ZR1 is against other 1,000-horsepower supercars from Italy.
We’re talking about the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and the Lamborghini Revuelto, which both faced the Corvette ZR1 in a quarter-mile drag race, courtesy of Hagerty.

Yes, The Corvette ZR1 Is Terrifyingly Fast In a quarter-mile run, Chevrolet rated the C8 Corvette ZR1 at 9.6 seconds, with a trap speed of 152 mph.

NONE

The latest Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 owners will soon be able to own the American supercar. The ZR1 nameplate has a long history of competing with European exotics, even though they can’t really profit from it—at least not right now. The most recent model is not an exception, and fortunately, a video demonstrates the C8 Corvette ZR1’s speed in comparison to other Italian supercars with 1,000 horsepower.

We’re referring to the quarter-mile drag race between the Lamborghini Revuelto and the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which was arranged by Hagerty. However, it wasn’t a simple victory because the Lambo gained traction right away and initially overtook the Chevy. But just before the finish line, the ZR1 overtook the Revuelto, winning handily. It’s true that the Ferrari was far from the two in the end.

The Tape Story.

Let us compare the numbers to give you a sense of the magnitude of that victory. The Corvette ZR1’s twin-turbo 5.5-liter LT7 engine, coupled with an 8-speed DCT, produces 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. It is Chevy’s most potent V8, which is remarkable in our opinion because the rear wheels alone were responsible for those astounding numbers (at least on a Corvette).

The Lamborghini Revuelto, lined up against the ZR1, is propelled by a naturally aspirated V12 that combines with three electric motors to produce 1,001 horsepower and 787 lb-ft of torque. The Ferrari SF90, on the other hand, has three motors as well, but it is coupled to a twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 590 lb-ft of pulling power and 986 horsepower. All-wheel drivetrains are standard on both Italian supercars.

Indeed, the ZR1 Corvette is incredibly fast.

Chevrolet rated the C8 Corvette ZR1 at 9:06 seconds in a quarter-mile run, with a trap speed of 152 mph. It’s interesting to note that the ZR1 that won the drag race was a little slower, finishing the sprint at 146 mph and 9:08 seconds. We cannot dispute that the Corvette ZR1 is incredibly fast, capable of blowing away European exotics, despite skeptics’ claims that a straight-line race isn’t a reliable way to determine whether a sports car or supercar is fantastic.
