I wanted to let you all know that after a lot of consideration with my team, I have decided to withdraw from the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro.
After the unbelievable week at The Chevron and grinding through the mental and physical challenges of four events in the past five weeks, I am definitely feeling exhausted.
To the fans, thank you all for the incredible love and support over the past few weeks.
1’s next scheduled start is the Cognizant Founders Cup.

NEUTRAL

Nelly Korda, the winner of the Chevron Championship, opted out of the JM Eagle LA Championship, which is sponsored by Plastpro, today. She shared her decision on social media.

Hey to all of you.

Whoa! This week has been amazing. Although the victory hasn’t quite set in, I am genuinely touched by the outpouring of love and support that I have received. The messages I’ve received from people who were watching from a distance have been as amazing as the crowds at Carlton Woods this past week.

I wanted to inform everyone that I have decided to withdraw from the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro, after much deliberation with my team.

A difficult choice had to be made. I’m worn out from the incredible week I had at The Chevron and from enduring the mental and physical strain of four events in the last five weeks. I think I should pay attention to my body and get some rest because there is still a lot of 2024 ahead of me in order to be prepared for the rest of the season.

We would like to express our gratitude to all of the fans for their amazing love and support over the past few weeks. I also want to thank Walter and Shirley Wang, who I know will be hosting a fantastic event at Wilshire next week; you have raised the bar for our Tour in a lot of ways with your support, so thank you very much. I look forward to seeing everyone in New Jersey again and will be rooting for you all from a distance.

On Sunday, Korda created history by becoming the third player since 1978 to win five straight LPGA Tour events. She joined Nancy Lopez and Annika Sorenstam in this feat. The top spot in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. The Cognizant Founders Cup is 1’s upcoming scheduled start.
