WWE Worlds Meet.

The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on June 7, 2025.

broadcast live on the WWE YouTube channel.

Corey Graves checked in on commentary and narrated arrival shots of Rey Mysterio, Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice, Chad Gable, and a backstage shot of El Hijo del Vikingo as the show began with a video package narrated by Rey Mysterio. When Konnan, the color commentator, saw Graves at the broadcast desk, he recalled the first Worlds Collide event, which featured Perro Aguayo as the main attraction. The AAA team used a different desk at ringside to check in.

In the ring with a few luchadores were Paul Levesque, Shawn Michaels, and Marisela Pena, President of AAA. Following the performance of the Mexican national anthem by Deyra Barrera, Lilian Garcia sang the American national anthem.

Everyone else left the ring, and then Rey Mysterio made his entrance and stepped inside. The AAA and WWE logos in the center of the ring caught Rey’s attention. There were red, green, and white turnbuckle pads and ropes. Rey used Spanish when addressing the audience. Rey concluded by stating that, as a child, he fell in love with lucha libre.

There was an entrance for the first match. Octagon Jr. To a generic rock instrumental, Mr. Iguana and Aero Star emerged. Iguana entered the ring with his plush iguana. Octagon’s father was a cast member of the first Worlds Collide production. Then came the LWO’s entrance.

1. . The LWO: Dragon Lee, Lince Dorado, and Cruz Del Toro vs. The Octagon Jr. Aero Star, Mr. Iguana, and others. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan were spotted in the first row, watching the match. “I am Dom’s godfather,” Konnan said. Additionally, he made it clear that this is not American wrestling. The broadcast crew was depicted in a graphic, with Chuey Martinez and Vero Rodriguez identified as backstage interviewers.

When he made his first appearance in the match, the audience erupted in cheers and chanted “Iguana.”. The name of the stuffed iguana is Yezka. As Lee and Aero Star fought, a “lucha libre” chant erupted. A corkscrew crossbody or a two count was executed by Aero Star. Following stereo dives by Octagon and Iguana, Aero Star concluded with a tope suicida/suicide dive.

Dorado performed a standing shooting star press after stomping the stuffed iguana. Iguana used a head-scissors takedown to exact revenge. Del Toro ran up the ropes and executed a corkscrew dive onto several wrestlers below to crown off another round of dives. In the ring, Octagon and Dorado engaged in combat. Octagon earned the pin with a top rope moonsault fallaway slam.

Jr. Octagon. “The LWO” Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Lince Dorado were defeated in 14:10 by Aero Star and Mr. Iguana.

According to Konnan, AAA had a significant victory. Before he gave them a standing ovation, he claimed that everyone had wrestled their asses off.

Standing with Liv Morgan in the front row, Dominik Mysterio was given a microphone. “Octagon Jr.” Dom said. loves Rey Mysterio, but he can’t remember who the champion is. Jr. Octagon. went to ringside, where Dom gave him a Spanish-language jawing. They battled into the ring until they were yanked apart after Octagon dragged Dom over the barricade. Dominic informed Octagon Jr. It was at Money in the Bank that he would see him. Dom declared that the Intercontinental Championship would be at stake. “Does Dom book his own matches?” Konnan asked.

Powell’s point of view: A thrilling first match in front of a boisterous crowd. John Moore, a Dot Net employee, is present. He said at the beginning of the show that the upper deck was not tarped off and that there was a good turnout. The only thin spot, he continued, was on the side of the hard camera, but people were still arriving.

Antonio Pena, the late founder of AAA, was featured in a video package. Although there were English subtitles, the narrator spoke in Spanish.

Graves questioned Konnan about the significance of this incident. It was an emotional moment, he claimed. He thanked AAA for the platform provided by WWE.

There were Mascarita Sagrada and Latin Lover in the crowd, along with a musical performer and that Mexican OT.

“Legado Del Fantasma” Santos Escobar, Angel, and Berto were interviewed by Chuey Martinez backstage. Berto declared that they would show all of the AAA guys who own Lucha libre and that they are prepared for war. After stating that the WWE logo patch had meaning, Escobar referred to his trio as family.

After Iyo Sky, the Women’s World Champion, was shown in the crowd, Tiffany Stratton, the WWE Women’s Champion, was shown in a different area. Entry to the women’s match was made.

2. Lola Vice and Stephanie Vaquer is against. Dalys and Chik Tormenta. Konnan claimed that Negro Casas, who he compared to the Shawn Michaels of Mexico, is Dalys’ trainer. Vice’s attire, Konnan pointed out, was inspired by the Cuban flag. However, Dalys blocked Vaquer’s early leg driver move. The crowd jeered.

Vice covered Tormenta for a two-count after launching hip attacks on both opponents in opposing corners. Considering that Vice lacked lucha libre training, Konnan said she looked better than he had expected. Vice was caught by Tormenta at ringside moments later using a clothesline. Vice’s opponents isolated her. Tormenta gave Vice a two-count power slap. Among the crowd was Negra Casas.

Eventually, Vaquer was hot-tagged. Vice and Vaquer pushed their opponents’ faces into the mat with their legs. Tormenta was pinned after Vaquer struck her with her SVB finisher. The student’s defeat of the teacher was emphasized by the broadcast team.

In 9:35, Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice triumphed over Dalys and Chik Tormenta.

Vero Rodriguez went into the ring to interview Vice and Vaquer following the bout. All of them conversed in Spanish, and Vaquer concluded her remarks by mentioning Money in the Bank.

Powell’s opinion: It was a good match. The crowd was still hot for everything after vaquer ended.

Chad Gable was interviewed by Chuey Martinez backstage. Martinez claimed that Gable is now in the lion’s den because he has made some disparaging remarks about Mexicans. Gable said that the reason his Mexican fans adore him is because they witnessed the hardships he endured to master the “dark arts of lucha libre.”. “El Grande Americano,” Gable said. Gable declared that he would emerge victorious as the AAA Mega Champion.

The next match was set up by a video package. Following Legado Del Fantasma’s speech, their opponents were highlighted.

Chavo Guerrero, Jr. appeared in the throng. In WCW and Lucha Underground, Konnan claimed to have collaborated with Chavo. There was a man wearing a mask called Foos Gone Wild, but he was mistakenly identified as The Street Profits, who were then spotted in a different section of the crowd. The next match’s entrances were made.

3. . Berto, Angel, and Santos Escobar in “Legado Del Fantasma” vs. Dr. D. Wagner Jr.’s Hijo. Pagano, Psycho Clown. Three of the most well-liked celebrities in all of lucha libre were on the AAA team, according to Graves. A small WWE patch was attached to the left hip of the LDF trio’s camouflage pants.

In an attempt to dive through the ropes on Berto, Pagano crashed and burned after Escobar pulled him aside. Escobar, according to Konnan, is the type of person who would take your wallet and then assist you in finding it. Graves, who claimed that they had only recently met, agreed, according to Konnan. “He could just tell,” Konnan said.

All six of the men joined the ring late in the fight and exchanged blows. They threw Wagner off the ropes with Berto and Angel. On Berto, a Psycho Clown struck a Psycho Driver. Angel executed a moonsault onto a floored opponent. Pagano jumped onto Angel from the ropes. After hitting Escobar with a leap from the ring steps, Wagner pulled him into the ring and covered him, but Angel broke it up.

Four of the wrestlers played rapid-fire spots with each other. Escobar interrupted Wagner on the ropes after he struck him from behind and proceeded to play to the audience as a tribute to Eddie Guerrero. Escobar nearly fell when he used a huracanrana to pull Wagner off the ropes. Escobar hit the Phantom Driver and pinned him after pounding Wagner with a knee strike a few moments later.

“Legado Del Fantasma” Santos Escobar, Angel, and Berto triumphed over El Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr. Pagano, Psycho Clown, and others at 15:00.

Powell’s perspective: It was satisfying to finish a Pagano match without witnessing someone get a skewer lodged in their scalp. More effort on the part of all parties. Konnan’s constant reference to the WWE vs. The matches won at this event are shown on the AAA scoreboard.

The AAA When Worlds Collide event in 1994 was summarized in a video package. Konnan talked about working the main event cage match against Perro Aguayo in Spanish.

One of the members of the Spanish broadcast crew wore a AAA cowboy hat when they checked in.

Vero Rodriguez interviewed El Hijo del Vikingo backstage.

Savio Vega and Damian Priest appeared in the crowd, followed by Blue Demon Jr. was visible in a different section of the crowd.

The match began with entrances after a video package introduced the NXT North American Championship. The match would undoubtedly be on fire, according to Konnan.

4. . Ethan Page in contrast to… Evans Je’Von vs. Rey Fenix versus. For the NXT North American Championship, Laredo Kid is in a four-way. The champion match’s in-ring introductions were given by Lilian Garcia. Evans and Fenix had a lighthearted conversation before Page interrupted. At one point, the broadcast crew was taken aback by Page’s huracanrana before he mugged for the audience.

Kid performed a moonsault after using a Michinoku Driver to put Fenix down. Kid hit what Graves called a DDT version of a destroyer on Fenix after fending off Page. Evans came back to break up the pin as Kid had it. A chant of “this is awesome” started.

Evans stopped Kid from climbing to the top and gave him a tree of woe instead. Evans used a German suplex to get Page out of the ring. Following a shake of the ropes, Evans threw both men over the English broadcast table by diving over the top rope and landing Page on the ground. Konnan expressed his desire that the wrestlers had replaced the Spanish commentators. Ironic.

Kid, still ensnared in a tree of woe, was kicked by Evans after he leaped from the top rope on one side of the ring. Page broke up the pin when Evans used a cutter on Fenix. Evans was slammed to the mat by Fenix, who returned a moment later and took a near fall. After one down, Evans hit Page with a clothesline from the top rope. There was another shout of “this is awesome.”.

Page pushed Fenix into Evans and Kid, who were on the ropes. After Page set up Fenix for an Ego’s Edge, Fenix managed to get away and ended up on the top rope, where he kicked Page out. Fenix gave Kid a top rope Spanish fly. When Page used the Ego’s Edge to beat Fenix, Evans leaped from the top rope and broke the pin. Shortly after, Evans struck Kid with a springboard cutter. Evans was thrown off the ring by Page, landing on Fenix on the ground. Page pinned Kid after giving him the Twisted Grin.

In 14:55, Ethan Page maintained the NXT North American Championship by defeating Laredo Kid, Je’Von Evans, and Rey Fenix in a four-way.

Powell’s opinion: Without a doubt, this was the evening’s best match. Although the fact that a title was on the line helped, all four men gave outstanding performances. The most obvious result was Kid being page-pinned.

On TripleMania, there was a video package. TripleMania was described as the World Cup of wrestling if WrestleMania is the Super Bowl of the sport. Konnan claimed that the biggest surprises happen and that it’s AAA’s biggest show of the year. Wrestlers also lose their hair and masks. August 16 is when TripleMania 33 will take place.

Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias was seen in the crowd, the challenger and the champion were seen walking in different places in the backstage area, and the main event entrances were set up by a video package. According to Graves, lucha libre has a face in every era. He went on to mention Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix before saying, “Now it’s Vikingo” (I think he may have omitted some names).

5. El Hijo del Vikingo versus. AAA Mega Championship with Chad Gable. For the championship match, Lilian Garcia introduced the competitors inside the ring. When Gable launched his attack, the audience became quiet for the first time during the evening. According to Konnan, many people’s pride would be damaged if AAA lost the series of matches to WWE 4-1. Gable sold a shoulder injury, and Vikingo began to recover.

The crowd was electrified when Vikingo performed a wild 630 splash onto Gable at ringside. For a two count, Vikingo covered Gable after rolling him inside the ring. After returning, Gable arranged a table on the ground. Through the table, Gable attempted a German suplex, but Vikingo stuffed it. Gable rolled Vikingo back in the ring and covered him for a two count after setting him down on the floor with a clothesline.

For a few minutes, Gable kept offensive control. Eventually, Vikingo returned with a cool double stomp. After standing on the middle rope outside the ring, Vikingo nearly fell by twisting into a 450 splash. There was a shout of “this is awesome.”. Gable executed what Graves referred to as a Niagara Driver after catching Vikingo attempting a move.

Vikingo’s movement caused Gable to land on his feet after attempting a top rope moonsault. Gable joined Vikingo on the ropes and interrupted him as he went there. For a near fall, Gable used a wild inside sit-out powerbomb. Wow.

After retaliating, Vikingo leaped from the top of the ring post and struck Gable on the apron with a destroyer. After rolling Gable back into the ring, Vikingo covered him to prevent him from falling. Gable pushed Vikingo to the ground after he attempted to climb back up. Gable positioned Vikingo at ringside on top. Gable climbed to the top and executed a moonsault, knocking both men momentarily to the ground and forcing Vikingo through the table. The referee’s ten count was surpassed by both hardly wrestlers.

Gable locked Vikingo’s ankles together. Gable dragged Vikingo back to the center of the ring as he reached for the ropes. Vikingo landed on his feet and kicked Gable after Gable switched into a German suplex. Vikingo grasped his left knee and then held on to it as he attempted a ropes maneuver. After leaping from the ropes and hitting a Poison Rana, Vikingo scored the pin by hitting the 630 splash.

El Hijo del Vikingo maintained the AAA Mega Championship after defeating Chad Gable in 22:00.

Both promotions sent wrestlers into the ring. To wrap up the show, Vikingo was put on one of the wrestlers’ shoulders, and they all performed for the hard camera.

Powell’s perspective: Ideally, Vikingo was only trying to sell at the end. Even though he hit the 630 splash flawlessly, he still reached for his left knee. Gable significantly reduced the speed. After it subdued the audience, the wrestlers managed to raise them back up for the final moments. Although I thought the four-way was better, the main event was excellent as well.

All things considered, a fun show that gives newcomers a good introduction to AAA. Nevertheless, it didn’t seem like they oversimplified it to appeal to fans who didn’t speak English. Instead, they used promos and video packages that were presented in Spanish with subtitles to appeal primarily to the Latino audience. In addition to being entertaining, the undercard set up the two championship bouts that stole the show. When I record an audio review of the event, which will be made available prior to Money in the Bank as a free Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast, I will have more to say about it. Please vote for the best matcha and rate the entire show below to let me know what you thought of Worlds Collide.

I’ll be reviewing WWE Money in the Bank live at 6CT/7ET.
