NEW YORK JUDGE SETS TRUMP SENTENCING DAYS BEFORE INAUGURATION “The American People elected President Trump with an overwhelming mandate that demands an immediate end to the political weaponization of our justice system and all of the remaining Witch Hunts.
We look forward to uniting our country in the new administration as President Trump makes America great again,” Cheung continued.

Trump, the incoming president, submitted a motion to halt the Jan. 10. The New York v. sentencing case. Fox Digital has learned of the Trump case.

“The Manhattan DDOTA’s illegal sentencing was halted today by a move by President Trump’s legal team. Witch Hunt. This baseless hoax must be promptly rejected, according to the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling on immunity, the New York state constitution, and other well-established legal precedents, Trump spokesperson and incoming White House communications director Steven Cheung told Fox Digital on Monday morning.

Days prior to his inauguration, a judge in New York sets Trump’s inauguration.

President Trump was elected by the American people with a resounding mandate that calls for an immediate end to the Witch hunts and the political weaponization of our legal system. As President Trump restores America to its former glory, we look forward to bringing our nation together under the new leadership,” Cheung added.

In response to the filing on Monday afternoon, the Manhattan district attorney’s office denied the request to postpone sentencing.

In its response on Monday, the DA’s office stated that the court should reject the defendant’s request for an immediate stay and proceed with the sentencing as planned on January 10, 2025.

The sentencing date for Trump was set earlier this month by New York Judge Juan Merchan, ahead of his January inauguration as president. Twenty. Merchan denied the former and incoming president’s request to have the case’s verdict overturned in light of the Supreme Court’s ruling last year regarding presidential immunity.

The sentencing of Trump is scheduled for Friday, January. 10, at 9:30 a.m. A. Merchan has previously declared that he will grant the president-elect an “unconditional discharge,” meaning no punishment, rather than a prison sentence.

On January 10, the New York judge announced Trump’s unconditional discharge sentencing.

In the Manhattan case, Trump was convicted in May of 34 counts of falsifying business records. The Manhattan District Attorney’s office attempted to demonstrate that Trump fabricated financial records to hide a $130,000 payment made to Stormy Daniels, a former porn star, to silence her allegations of a 2006 affair with him prior to the 2016 election.

Trump has consistently insisted that he is innocent in the case and denounced it as an instance of lawfare that Democrats are pushing to undermine his chances of winning the presidency in November.

AMID FAILED CASES, TRUMP CALLS OUT DEMOCRATS AND MERCHANTS WHO “JUST WANT TO SEE JUST HOW MUCH FLESH THEY CAN GET.”.

There is absolutely no case against me, according to almost every legal scholar and commentator. Like the other New York judicial and prosecutorial witch hunts, the judge made up the facts and the law. Because of this, companies are escaping New York, taking millions of jobs and billions of dollars in taxes with them. The legal system is flawed, and companies cannot risk becoming entangled in this maze. On the Sunday night of the case, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “IT’S ALL RIGGED, in this case against a political opponent, ME!!!.

Trump’s sentencing in the case has been postponed several times. After the Supreme Court decided in July that former presidents have significant immunity from prosecution for official acts while in office but not for unofficial acts, Trump’s attorneys had asked Merchan to reverse the former president’s guilty verdict.
