Perdue Foods LLC is recalling numerous chicken products on Friday due to the possibility the product may be contaminated with metal.
According to the agency, there have been no known reports of people experiencing “adverse reactions” related to the recall.
The recalled products have an establishment number of “P-33944” that is visible on the back of the packaging, the release notes.
The problem with the product was first discovered after consumers complained of metal wire “embedded” in the chicken, the FSIS said, adding that the agency is “concerned” that the recalled chicken could be in customers’ freezers.
It advises people not to eat the chicken, throw it away or return the product to the original place of purchase.
