At least seven Hezbollah operatives were killed Friday by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as the terrorist group fired roughly 100 rockets across northern Israel, according to reports by the Times of Israel.
IDF sources confirmed with Fox News Digital that at least two of the terrorists killed in the day’s strikes had been involved with the group’s Rocket and Missile Unit.
Muhammad Mahmoud Negm, who was described as a “significant” operative, was killed by the Israeli Air Force in the area of Aaita El Zot in southern Lebanon.
No Israeli injuries or deaths have been reported in the Jewish state following the day’s events.
Upper Galilee appears to have taken the brunt of the rocket fire where Hezbollah fired some 40 projectiles across the Lebanese border into Israel.
The attack comes as Jerusalem has been preparing for an all-out war with Iran following threats made by Tehran earlier this month.
But even if terms can be agreed to, Israeli defense officials have told Fox News Digital that they are highly skeptical it will lead to lasting peace in the region.
Israeli security experts continue to assess that Hezbollah remains its chief threat.
Per the Times of Israel, the terrorist organization fired about 100 rockets across northern Israel on Friday, during which the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed at least seven of its operatives.
At least two of the terrorists slain in the day’s attacks were affiliated with the group’s Rocket and Missile Unit, IDF sources told Fox News Digital.
The Israeli Air Force killed Muhammad Mahmoud Negm, a “significant” operative, in the southern Lebanon region of Aaita El Zot.
As talks about Gaza’s cease-fire are allegedly changing, HAMAS Leader Sindwar reportedly wants a guarantee of survival.
According to IDF officials, the IAF also hit another terrorist in the Tyre area, identified as Saeed Mahmoud Daeb on foot.
The IDF is said to have killed the other four operatives in various strikes throughout southern Lebanon, one of which targeted a Hezbollah cell that was allegedly preparing to launch rockets from the Tayr Harfa village.
Following the day’s events, the Jewish state has not reported any Israeli fatalities or injuries.
The majority of the rocket fire that Hezbollah fired into Israel across the Lebanese border appears to have affected Upper Galilee.

The IDF said it had intercepted “some” projectiles, but it did not say how many.
The incident occurs as Jerusalem has been getting ready for a full-scale conflict with Iran in response to Tehran’s threats earlier this month.
Representatives from the U. S. Egypt and Qatar have been working to get a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas in the hopes that it will prevent a bigger conflict involving Israel, Iran, and Tehran’s proxies, such as Hezbollah.
Terms that mostly concern security corridors in Gaza have not been agreed upon by Israel and Hamas.
Even so, Israeli defense officials have expressed significant doubts that any agreement will result in long-lasting peace in the area, Fox News Digital has learned.
Hezbollah is still considered to be the main threat to Israel, according to security experts in Israel.
