Mobile Settings: You can control how location data is collected and how much information is collected for interest-based advertising in mobile apps by going to the device’s settings. You can choose to “Limit Ad Tracking” (for iOS devices) or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (for Android devices) in your device settings to stop Nielsen or other third parties from tracking your mobile ads.
Smart TVs and streaming devices are examples of connected devices. You should check the device’s settings and choose the option that lets you turn off ad tracking and automatic content recognition. You usually have to choose “limit ad tracking” or turn off “interest-based advertising,” “interactive TV,” or “smart interactivity” in order to opt out of such devices. Device type affects these settings.
Cross-Device Tracking: You can use the different above-described methods to opt out of our browser-based cross-device tracking for advertising purposes. Each browser and device you use requires a separate opt-out. Cross-device tracking may still be used for analytics and other purposes even if you choose not to have it used for advertising.
