Sara Perry was admitted to Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and while there, she mentioned to hospital staff that she and her then-fiance were likely going to miss their wedding.

Within roughly nine hours of getting married, the Perrys welcomed a baby boy.

Just hours before they welcomed a baby boy on Valentine’s Day, a couple from Missouri tied the knot in an impromptu ceremony at a hospital last week.

Originally, Sara and Brandon Perry were scheduled to tie the knot on February. 16 but, a few days prior to the big day, their plans were derailed.

The police officer Sara Perry revealed to “Good Morning America” that on February, she was 35 weeks pregnant. 13, she discovered her water had broken when she woke up.

“We decided that we wouldn’t make it to Friday, so we headed to the hospital,” the 39-year-old recalled.

After being admitted to Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Sara Perry confided in the medical staff that she and her then-fiance would probably not be able to attend their wedding.

“I guess her patients were in there too, getting ready to have a child, and the husband is an ordained minister,” Perry said in reference to a conversation between two nurses across the hall. “Well, hey, I could do it before I have my baby,” he says.
