(WJET/WFXP)– City of Erie Mayor Joe Schember has declared a Snow Emergency for the remainder of the weekend.
The Snow Emergency will be in effect for the City of Erie from Friday to Sunday citing large amounts of snow and inclement weather with Odd-Even parking being extended through the weekend.
Residents are asked to comply with the regulations so plows can safely clear the streets as quickly as possible and so emergency vehicles can move through.
The city said Erie police will also be out ticketing.
Additionally, residents are asked to remain off city streets as much as possible to allow crews to efficiently plow snow and make our streets safe.
