(WJET/WFXP)– City of Erie Mayor Joe Schember has declared a Snow Emergency for the remainder of the weekend.
The Snow Emergency will be in effect for the City of Erie from Friday to Sunday citing large amounts of snow and inclement weather with Odd-Even parking being extended through the weekend.
Residents are asked to comply with the regulations so plows can safely clear the streets as quickly as possible and so emergency vehicles can move through.
The city said Erie police will also be out ticketing.
Additionally, residents are asked to remain off city streets as much as possible to allow crews to efficiently plow snow and make our streets safe.

Due to heavy snowfall and unfavorable weather, the City of Erie will be under a Snow Emergency from Friday through Sunday. Odd-Even parking will be extended overnight.
In order for emergency vehicles and plows to safely clear the streets as soon as possible, residents are asked to abide by the rules. According to the city, Erie police will also be issuing tickets.
