But it’s also important to remember that Donald Trump is an 18-wheeler and sometimes he careens down the hill at top speed.

Donald Trump wants to remain with a team that is winning. This cycle, he had remarkable success despite what appeared to be overwhelming odds. His two prior presidential campaigns were characterized by a great deal of incompetence, drama, and internal strife.
In the clip you played from his election night victory speech, he was ecstatic in part because he had a winning team that lacked any of that. Even though there was some drama at the end, Donald Trump was primarily to blame. It was Donald Trump’s fault, not the fault of his fellow campaign managers.
The problem with Susie Wiles is that she has a track record of winning. She isn’t arrogant. She prefers to work behind the scenes, as he mentioned. She has a reputation for being somewhat egoless. She works for the principal and ensures that their wishes are carried out in a manner that gets in the way.
You didn’t hear any rumors that she was lecturing Donald Trump or trying to control him, or that anyone in the campaign was attempting to protect their image when things appeared to be going wrong. None of those things took place.
Much of that can be attributed to Wiles, the individuals she employed, and the generally low-key atmosphere that the campaign—not Donald Trump, but the campaign itself—operated in.

She was employed by Donald Trump in 2016 to manage his campaign in Florida, even though polls indicated that he would lose the state. Additionally, Trump was thrilled that he had won.
However, Rick Scott’s 2010 gubernatorial campaign was Susie Wiles’ first significant contest in Florida. Additionally, it appeared that Rick Scott had no chance of winning the state at that point. He did. . Much of the credit went to Wiles. Following that, Donald Trump ran for office in 2016.
When Ron DeSantis’ 2018 gubernatorial campaign was going south, he called Susie Wiles. There was now a falling out between them. Wiles was not at fault for that. Because of his paranoia and inability to accept that she was receiving some credit for his victory, Governor Ron DeSantis was unable to tolerate it.
So he attempted to ruin her career and reputation. After recovering, she resumed her job in Florida and joined President Trump’s reelection campaign in 2020. She contributed to his state victory. He obviously lost that race.
However, he wanted to give it another go after realizing in 2021 that no one believed he could make a comeback when he was in a really bad place. This was after January 6. Additionally, he wanted to make sure he had someone he could trust, someone who was confident, and someone who wouldn’t put him in danger or try to promote themselves.
In actuality, only one name emerged at the top of the list. Susie Wiles did that. And President Trump was delighted with his choice.

That’s a tough question to answer because we don’t know and Wiles wouldn’t discuss the instances in which she might have given advice to a principal, which she most certainly did, based on statistics.
Eventually, the adviser’s advice will be followed by the principal, including Donald Trump. Indeed, there were occasions when she urged him to refrain from doing this or attempted to gently prod the ship of SdotS. Trump in the proper manner.
Speaking with Trump’s advisers, confidants, or former advisers, you will find that it’s a very challenging process. Therefore, she definitely did that. Nevertheless, Donald Trump also follows his own desires. Additionally, his organizations are constantly plagued by a fundamental tension.
I believe it’s reasonable to compare Susie Wiles to a guardrail to that extent. It’s crucial to keep in mind, though, that Donald Trump is an 18-wheeler, and occasionally he speeds downhill. And no amount of safeguards can guarantee that.
