You will continue to see ads after you opt out, but they might not be as pertinent to you.
Mobile App Settings: Through the device’s settings, you can control how location data is collected and how much information is used for interest-based advertising in mobile apps. You can choose to “Limit Ad Tracking” (for iOS devices) or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (for Android devices) in your device settings to stop Nielsen or other third parties from tracking your mobile ads.
Connected Devices: You should go over the settings on connected devices, like smart TVs or streaming devices, and choose the option that lets you turn off ad tracking or automatic content recognition. You usually have to choose “limit ad tracking” or turn off “interest-based advertising,” “interactive TV,” or “smart interactivity” in order to opt out of such devices. The device type affects these settings.
Cross-Device Tracking: You can use the different techniques mentioned above to choose not to have your browser track you across devices for advertising purposes. Opting out needs to be done independently for every device and browser you use. Please check out the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative for additional details on cross-device matching. Cross-device tracking may still be used for analytics and other purposes even if you choose not to have it used for advertising.
Repercussions of Cookie Deactivation: Certain aspects of the Services might not work correctly if you disable or delete cookies. Data may still be gathered and used for internal operations, research, online service analytics, and to keep track of your opt-out choices.
