As ICE Boston was arresting one illegal immigrant, Fox News reported hearing a woman yell out “thank you!” to the agents.
Some of the arrests were also Red Notices, fulfilling requests from other law enforcement agencies to find and arrest a suspect.
Border Czar Tom Homan warned collateral arrests would be commonplace, especially in sanctuary cities.
Earlier this week, Homan said ICE officers have a “target sheet” of migrants with criminal records who they’re looking to arrest and deport.
The Trump Administration is taking strict measures to seal off the southern border from illegal entries.
This week, immigration and customs enforcement officers jumped right in, apprehending a number of violent criminals in sanctuary cities, including a hostile Haitian gang member with a long criminal history who yelled, “F–k Trump, Biden forever!” and declared he was “not going back to Haiti.”.
According to Fox News, which accompanied ICE in making the arrests, ICE officers in Boston made eight notable arrests, including several members of the MS-13 gang, suspects in murder and rape, and the Haitian gang member. The arrests resulted in at least 17 recent convictions.
The arrest in Boston was of an MS-13 gang member who had been released by the sanctuary city on Tuesday, and there were at least one other “collateral” arrests, in which ICE apprehended an illegal immigrant who wasn’t their original target.
According to Fox News, a woman shouted “thank you!” to the agents as ICE Boston arrested one illegal immigrant.
In addition to being Red Notices, some of the arrests fulfilled requests for the location and apprehension of a suspect made by other law enforcement agencies.
Particularly in sanctuary cities, Border Czar Tom Homan warned that collateral arrests would be frequent.
“Once we identify the villain, there are most likely more. other people who are not authorized to be in the US. Even though they might not be a top criminal priority, he declared, “We’re not abandoning them.”.
Unlike former President Joe Biden’s border policies, which allowed about 8 million people to enter the US illegally, Trump’s administration is swiftly implementing the mass deportation operation he promised to carry out during his presidency, which is reflected in the arrests.
In Boston, Denver, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Seattle, Washington, DC, and Miami, federal authorities apprehended over 300 illegal migrant criminals on Tuesday, Trump’s first full day in office, and detained them for deportation, according to administration officials.
Sanctuary cities will not be spared as part of Homan’s pledged renewed effort to deport 700,000 illegal migrants who have committed crimes from the United States, of which this week’s deportations are only the beginning.
Homan stated earlier this week that ICE officers have a “target sheet” of criminally recorded migrants they want to detain and deport.
To prevent unauthorized entry, the Trump Administration is enforcing stringent measures along the southern border.
Homeland Security sources told The Post that Border Patrol officers are now prohibited from allowing illegal migrants to enter the nation.
Trump has also ordered the US military to secure the country’s borders, and he is getting ready to deploy 10,000 troops to the border.
