Mobile Settings: Through the device’s settings, you can control the information that mobile apps collect for interest-based advertising, including location data collection. You can choose to disable Nielsen or other third-party mobile ad tracking by going to your device settings and choosing the “Limit Ad Tracking” (for iOS devices) or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (for Android devices) options.
Smart TVs and streaming devices are examples of connected devices. Look through the settings on these devices and choose the option to turn off ad tracking or automatic content recognition. You usually have to choose “limit ad tracking” or turn off “interest-based advertising,” “interactive TV,” or “smart interactivity” in order to opt out of such devices. The device type affects these settings.
Cross-Device Tracking: You can choose not to have your browser track your device for advertising purposes by using the different options mentioned above. Every device and browser you use requires a separate opt-out. Please check out the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative for additional details on cross-device matching. We might still use cross-device tracking for analytics or other purposes even if you choose not to have it used for advertising.
