A new, terrifying video of an American hostage in Gaza has been released, and family members are pleading for help.

The Chicagoan Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23, was captured on camera by Hamas on Wednesday. On October 7, as he was being taken from the Nova Music Festival, his hand was blown off. With his dominant hand missing and his head shaved, it appears that he recorded his message while under duress.

But after 201 days, it seems to be evidence of an American hostage’s survival in Gaza, and that gives his parents, Jon and Rachel, a new cause for contention. After a few hours, they made their own video and begged the negotiators to return to the table and put an end to the chaos that has engulfed the Middle East.

An investigation into Gilgo Beach is underway, and sources are searching LI.

According to law enforcement sources who spoke with ABC News, investigators are looking through a Manorville wooded area as part of the Gilgo Beach investigation.

The sources said the search started on Tuesday and is still ongoing on Wednesday. In order to aid Suffolk police in their search of the expansive wooded area off the Long Island Expressway close to exit 70, two NYPD ESU K-9s provided assistance.

Regarding the specifics of the search, the district attorney’s office in Suffolk declined to comment.
