MSI has stock.

Additionally, MSI currently stocks two 5060 cards.

Before making a purchase, keep one thing in mind.

Although I have yet to see anything in any of the major retailers, I should probably bring up one point at this point. Prior to their release, the cards have not been subjected to independent review by Tom’s Guide or other media outlets.

Although we haven’t had much time to play with the GPU yet, this is just preliminary feedback, and Nvidia has taken care to ensure that we only share details about games that have been incredibly well-optimized for their GPUs. Avowed, Cyberpunk 2077, Doom: The Dark Ages, Hogwarts Legacy, and Marvel Rivals are the games we can discuss.

We strongly advise you to read a completely independent review of the product before deciding to buy it, as this is by no means an exhaustive assessment.

It’s kind of on sale at Micro Center.

This is interesting. It looks like Micro Center is selling an MSI RTX 5060 SHADOW 2X Overclocked Dual Fan 8GB GPU, but only if you purchase it in-store. Shipping is not an option, and the 18-minute pickup feature is not available either.

The GPU is marked as being discounted, which is even stranger. The MSRP for this configuration, $299, is listed as the price here.

This is intriguing, but it’s something to be cautious of as other retailers, such as Amazon and Nvidia, have yet to provide any results.

The listings are ready.

For the time when their RTX 5060 listings go live, some retailers have already set up holding pages.

Verifying the vendors.

I’m optimistic that the 5060 cards will soon begin to appear at stores like Best Buy and Newegg.

Nothing at the moment, but once they do drop, these might sell out quickly, so you might need to place your order as soon as possible to guarantee yours.

Eighteen percent better than the RTX 4060?

Although we haven’t had a chance to thoroughly test the RTX 5060 yet, some laptop GPU benchmarks that showed its OpenCL results appeared on Geekbench last month.

The tests show an average difference of about 18 percent when compared to a laptop graphic card that is the RTX 4060. Notably, Geekbench’s OpenCL only provides a broad overview of a graphics card’s performance; it tests a GPU’s capacity for parallel processing, image rendering, and other functions.

The performance of the RTX 5060 laptop GPU is, however, hinted at by it.

This month, RTX 5060 laptops will be available.

Fortunately, a number of laptops with RTX 5060 support have already been announced as being available this month.

The GPU will be available in devices such as the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S, Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, Alienware 16 Area-51, Razer Blade 16, HP Omen 16, Lenovo Legion 5i Pro, and more, with prices starting at $1,099, as confirmed.

When does the sale of stock begin?

The RTX 5060’s official launch date is today, May 19, according to Nvidia, but we’re not sure when exactly stock will be available where you live. However, I’m confident that at 9 a.m. ET, 6 a.m. PT, or 2 p.m. BST, stock will begin to appear.

Why? Well, based on historical data, that appears to be the sweet spot for retailers. Watch this space to see if that prediction comes to pass.

Is this low-cost GPU going to be adequate?

As a lower-end GPU with 8GB of VRAM, it is understandable that there have been some performance concerns.

We’ve already had some time with the RTX 5060, and while we were operating under Nvidia’s guidelines, the initial results are encouraging. Under Nvidia’s settings, we played five games at 1080p and discovered that they met—and occasionally even surpassed—the company’s performance claims.
