Whitney Purvis, who starred in a 2009 episode of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, is mourning the death of the son she welcomed on the show.
“My beautiful son, Weston, has passed away.
Purvis, who welcomed her first child with Weston Gosa Sr., was one of six pregnant teens featured in the season.
In her heartbreaking post, Purvis asked, “How do you go on in life after losing a child?
He was brilliant, smart, funny and had so much potential in life,” Gosa wrote.
In 2009, Whitney Purvis appeared on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant. She is currently grieving the loss of her son.
She wrote, “This is so hard to write,” at the start of a Monday Facebook post. “My lovely son, Weston, is no longer with us. His age was only sixteen. Life is so harsh and unjust. I’m just not getting it. My baby is gone, and I’m at a loss for what to do with myself. His perfection was astounding. This truly is the realization of my worst nightmare. “,”.
With Weston Gosa Sr., Purvis gave birth to her first child. was one of the season’s six pregnant teenagers. They all became stars of the popular reality show Teen Mom: Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn Lowell.
Purvis wrote, “How do you go on in life after losing a child? I’m in disbelief, this cannot be happening,” in her heartbreaking post. I don’t want it to be true. If it meant holding him, I would stop at nothing. The pain I am experiencing is beyond words. “.”.
She then addressed her son with the message.
“Weston Owen Gosa, I adore you so much. God, you are so loved. My heart belongs to you. I was really pleased with the young man you were growing into. Without you, I simply cannot continue. Peace be with you, angel. You’re gone too quickly. June 2, 2025–April 2, 2009. “,”.
After an hour, Purvis changed her profile picture to a picture of a young Weston.
Her writing next to it read, “Rest in Peace, my baby Weston.”. “I will always love you, my dear. Why life must be so cruel will always be beyond me. You’ll be my baby forever. “.
In a Facebook post, Amy Gosa, Weston’s stepmother, stated that an autopsy would be performed shortly. The family was “in shock” after failing to wake him up on Monday, she said, despite Weston’s history of health problems, including diabetes. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where they declared him dead, she revealed.
