Walmart has abruptly unveiled the Onn 4K Plus, a $30 Google TV streaming device that serves as a perfect Chromecast substitute, after appearing out of nowhere for the past few weeks.
In recent years, Walmart has produced some of the most outstanding Android TV and Google TV devices at surprisingly low prices. There were some early rumors of a new gadget in development going into 2025, which eventually resulted in early user reviews being leaked and listings appearing on Walmart’s website. The gadget was not accessible online last week, but it was appearing in stores as well.
However, Walmart has now quietly and widely released Onn 4K Plus.
4K Plus is available at Walmart.com.
In comparison to Walmart’s previous Google TV devices, this new streamer has been updated with features like USB-C support and 16GB of storage. Not only does that close the gap left by the demise of the Chromecast, but it also does so at a reduced cost—all for just $29.88. It also has a faster chipset, Wi-Fi 6 support, and support for Dolby Vision and Atmos.
