The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Exynos 2500 performance scores reveal the obvious and disappointing truth, as it reveals its undoubtedly low-end specifications

The Cut

| Image credit — PhoneArena For a while now, multiple reports have claimed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will run on the Exynos 2500 chipset.
These results, unfortunately, don’t paint a promising picture of the 2 nm Exynos 2600 chipset that Samsung is currently developing.
Fortunately, all reports point toward the Galaxy Z Fold 7 being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite globally.
I’m not saying that the Exynos 2500 will make the Flip 7 an unusable phone, but it does present a bleaker outlook for the Galaxy S26 and the future of Exynos.

The Exynos 2500 chipset has been rumored to power the next Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 for some time. The performance ratings of a Geekbench listing that is thought to be of the phone are essentially what many enthusiasts anticipated.

The following are the outcomes of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Exynos 2500 variant.

2,012 for a single core.

Score for multiple cores: 7,563.

The Geekbench listing states that this phone runs Android 16 and has 12 GB of RAM. As anticipated, the response to these performance outcomes was overwhelmingly negative. Samsung is accused of cost-cutting by some, while others wonder why Exynos chipsets are still so far behind their rivals.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which powers the Galaxy S25 phones, has performance scores of about 3,220 for single cores and 10,223 for multicores. With a single core score of 2,079, one social media user noted that Apple’s 2020 A14 chip is much more similar to the Exynos 2500. At the very least, the Exynos 2500’s multicore performance is comparable to that of the 2023 A17 Pro, which registered 7,441.

These findings, regrettably, do not bode well for Samsung’s current 2 nm Exynos 2600 chipset development. The company intends to use the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy S26 phones in a number of different geographical areas. Despite my continued support for Exynos, I must acknowledge that these low scores cause me to lose hope in the Exynos 2600.

I think the Galaxy S26 will make or break Exynos. In the meantime, Qualcomm intends to increase the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2’s price. The conflict between Apple and President Trump and this could result in significant price increases for Galaxy phones in the United States. A. Samsung will be in a tight spot if Exynos doesn’t improve, but both Apple and Samsung are abandoning Qualcomm.

Good news! According to all reports, the Snapdragon 8 Elite will power the Galaxy Z Fold 7 worldwide. I’m not claiming that the Exynos 2500 will render the Flip 7 useless, but it does paint a more dire picture for the Galaxy S26 and Exynos’s future.
