‘The Last Of Us’ Season 2 Finale Draws 3.7 Million Cross-Platform U.S. Viewers For HBO

Season 2 of The Last of Us concluded Sunday night with an audience of 3.7 million cross-platform viewers in the U.S., per HBO.
That potential for growth is evidenced by the fact that Season 2 is already amassing more average viewers over time than Season 1.
According to HBO, Season 2 is tallying nearly 37M global viewers per episode and growing.
The Last of Us has seen an influx of viewership to the series, exceeding 90M total viewers since Season 1 ended.

The network says it anticipates a large increase in viewership following the Memorial Day holiday weekend, despite the fact that this is much lower than the 5.3M viewers of the Season 2 premiere episode. The fact that Season 2 is already gradually gaining more average viewers than Season 1 is proof of that growth potential.

HBO reports that Season 2 is growing, with almost 37 million viewers worldwide per episode. To put things in perspective, the first season of HBO and Max attracted the highest audience ever — nearly 32 million viewers in 90 days after the premiere.
