The company recently pulled the update for the Galaxy S22 series just a week after its release, and now it has done the same for the Galaxy S24 lineup.
The One UI 8 firmware for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra is no longer available on Samsung’s servers.
In other regions, it’s only the Galaxy S22 Ultra that hasn’t started receiving the update again.
By now, every Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra owner will have already updated to the latest version of Android and One UI.
Update: Samsung has pulled the One UI 8 firmware for the Galaxy S24 FE as well.
Samsung appears to be finding issues with the One UI 8 update that were overlooked by several devices. Just a week after the Galaxy S22 series’ update was released, the company pulled it for the Galaxy S24 lineup.
The Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra One UI 8 firmware is no longer accessible on Samsung’s servers. It’s unclear if Samsung intends to expand into other markets, but for the time being, this seems to be restricted to South Korea.
Intriguingly, the company hasn’t yet resumed rolling out the update for any Galaxy S22 models in South Korea after taking it offline. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is the only device in other regions that hasn’t begun to receive the update.
Odd that Samsung took so long to identify whatever problem or problems caused it to halt the rollout so many weeks after the Galaxy S24 series was updated to One UI 8 nearly a month ago. All owners of Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra devices will have already updated to the most recent versions of One UI and Android by this point.
