Note: The Nintendo Switch game listings on Woot have changed recently. The retailer no longer makes it clear if you are purchasing an imported game or one that will be released in North America. All games on the Nintendo Switch are available in English, and none of them are region-specific. However, this should be taken into account for DLC-containing games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Should you desire the DLC and not receive a North American version, you will have to buy it from the eShop that corresponds to your game. Therefore, in order to download DLC from the UK eShop, you must create a separate Nintendo account if you purchase a game from the UK. DLC isn’t present in many of the games on the aforementioned list or in Nintendo games generally, but it’s still important to remember.

Super Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario Odyssey are the three Mario platformers that have been heavily discounted. While Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury costs $42, U Deluxe costs $40 each. The Super Mario Party Jamboree is currently sold out at Woot, but Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars, the other two entries for the Switch, are available for $40 each. Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood, which was just released, costs $50, while Paper Mario: The Origami King, which is rarely on sale, costs $42. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is available for $38 and Mario Golf: Super Rush is available for $40.

Eight Pokemon games are available for purchase, including three mainline entry pairs: Let’s Go, Eevee ($40) and Pikachu ($42), Scarlet and Violet ($42) each, and Sword ($42) and Shield ($40). Adorable reimaginings of Pokemon Yellow, the Let’s Go games feature simplified gameplay modeled after Pokemon Go. In addition, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available for $45 before its follow-up, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, is released the following year. For younger players who aren’t yet interested in turn-based Pokemon games, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the remake of the original Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, is a fantastic choice at a rare discount of $42.

There are a number of other infrequently discounted Switch games available for excellent prices. The physical version of the original Bayonetta game is now only $35, while the fantastic action-platformer Metroid Dread is $42 and Bayonetta 3 is only $30. The first three mainline Dragon Quest games are included in the $42 Dragon Quest I-III Collection. This collection can be played in English, but it was only released in Asia. To clarify, this collection does not include the new HD-2D Remake of Dragon Quest 3, but rather the improved versions that were made available on PC and mobile devices.

The newly released Doom Anthology from Bethesda, which includes six games, a steelbook case, and a five-inch model of the famous BFG gun, is now only $55 instead of $80. Regarding Bethesda, the Switch version of Skyrim is available for $45. Although the Switch port isn’t often discounted, this is undoubtedly fairly expensive for Skyrim in 2024.

A Super Mario gift idea.
