Healthy Snack: The Complete Showcase of The Game Awards Edition 2024.
All of the Nintendo Switch games will be revealed at Wholesome Snack 2024.
We’ve included a couple of games here that didn’t specify which consoles they would be compatible with, but we’re confident that they will be available on the Switch. We’ll mark the games that are only “consoles” but could be Switch successors.
Unknown as Capy Castaway.
Capy Castaway, from the same team that made the cute Pekoe, is one of the few games on our list that hasn’t been formally confirmed for the Switch. But “consoles” are on the horizon. Additionally, Kitten Cup Studio is unable to refuse us that cute capybara. “Spirited Away meets Untitled Goose Game” is a great way to start an elevator pitch, right?
Set out on a fantastical journey with a capybara puppy and a shrewd crow as they search for their way home! Sniff, dig, and discover a lively world full of surprises, difficulties, and endearing friendships at every turn. “,”.
Part by Part, 2025.
pc\. by pc\. has already captured our hearts, and we have a weakness for little fox guys—just take a look at Tunic. In the middle of the forest, you will run a repair shop where you will be able to assist different animals by repairing their damaged devices. However, you also need to maintain the best possible appearance for your store.
“Unwind and pretend to be a small fox who owns a repair shop where you can fix, construct, paint, and resell a variety of odd objects, such as binoculars and a model cat. Immerse yourself in the tales of the villagers, engage them in a game of “Bear, Fish, Bee,” and cultivate plants to produce paint pigments to adorn your recently repaired objects. Prepare for the upcoming store opening.
A Tale of Loss: Pine, December 13, 2024.
Pine: A Story of Loss is a brief game that is meant to be played in a single sitting; it is undoubtedly lovely but not particularly “cosy.”. The main character is a woodcutter who is mourning the loss of his wife. We are already feeling a little teary-eyed by the beautiful animation and music.
Tom Booth, a professional illustrator (Dreamworks, Nickelodeon) and author of children’s books, collaborated with friend and programmer Najati Imam to write Pine: A Story of Loss. Tom’s own experience with grief served as the inspiration for the book. After Tom’s drawing of a dejected woodworker went viral, the concept for Pine: A Story of Loss took off. Those who have lost a loved one will recognize this interactive experience. “.
Moominvalley’s “Fuddler’s Courtship” DLC, Snufkin: Melody of – December 17, 2024.
You might have forgotten that the cute Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley came out in March of 2024. In a week, we will receive additional DLC. In Fuddler’s Courtship, you must assist a new visitor in expressing his love feelings, which adds a whole new adventure to the game. Oh, my.
A new friend named Fuddler needs a hug in this touching romance that reads like a novella.
Before winter arrives, players accompany Snufkin and his best friend, Moomintroll, on a camping trip far into the wilderness to give him a helping hand in expressing his emotions. With lots of new and old friends, what should have been a peaceful outing for two becomes a romantic and chaotic adventure. “..”.
2025’s Little Rocket Laboratory.
Repair shops are extinct. No more farms. . These days, we’re all focused on building machines with endless resources. In Little Rocket Lab, Morgan imagines constructing her own rocket ship and taking off into space. It is a combination of Factorio and Stardew Valley, and the beautiful pixel art is definitely giving off a charming vibe. Therefore, we must assist her in realizing that dream.
The setting of Little Rocket Lab, a traditional building and resource management simulation, is a small village with helpful NPCs. and occasionally impede. Everything is in place to make this experience thrilling from beginning to end, including puzzles to solve, friendships to renew, and a vast world to explore. “.
Naiad: Now out!
Naiad is a lovely game that lets you literally go with the flow as you float down a dreamy river and learn to swim. It was announced two years ago and is currently available on the Switch.
“A 16-episode journey that will lead you through a quiet lake, a deep forest, a dark cave, a happy creek, and other stunning and unusual locations. until you arrive at the ocean.
Collaboration between Sky: Children of the Light and Alice in Wonderland, December 23, 2024.
With Alice in Wonderland and her cafe, we have another free update for Sky: Children of the Light, a staple in these Wholesome Games showcases. I can’t recall a cafe from the books, but we’ll accept it because there were a lot of tea parties.
Alice and the Mad Hatter are throwing a party and spilling the tea while guiding us all down the cafe rabbit hole in Aviary Village.
Early 2025: Despelote.
No Wholesome Games showcase has been like despelote, which is entirely in Spanish and takes place in Quito, Ecuador. It is set in 2001 and centers on the life of a young boy who is obsessed with soccer. It contrasts beautifully with the straightforward black and white character art, and the images were all shot on location.
“Despelote is a human-centered soccer game. Through the eyes and ears of eight-year-old Julián, experience Quito’s parks and streets. See what happens when you kick your soccer ball in someone’s direction after you’ve dribbled, passed, and shot it around town. Experience the transformation of the city as Ecuador gets closer than ever to earning a spot in the World Cup. “,”.
March 2025, Sugardew Island.
Alright, a farm simulation. However, Sugardew Island is a little different because you will be growing and selling crops. Harvest Moon, a Nintendo DS game, is a major inspiration. You can play at your own pace, relax, and make friends.
The island of Sugardew invites you to open your own quaint farm store and sell the produce you grow there. You need to tend to your animals, cultivate crops, acquire resources, and finish Harmony Tree quests in order to bring the adorable Forest Folk residents back into balance because you can’t run your store without merchandise. “.
“Currently in development” is TOEM 2.
“One more thing” from Wholesome Snack was a rather delightful surprise: TOEM 2, the follow-up to the beautiful black-and-white photography game TOEM, which debuted on the Switch in 2021. Although no consoles were revealed for this teaser, we are certain that it will be available on the Switch or its successor, which is why it is included here.
In TOEM 2, the follow-up to the critically acclaimed TOEM, you can put yourself back in the shoes of an inquisitive photographer and embark on a brand-new journey that is all about discovering hidden details, supporting friends along the way, and recording the world’s small wonders. “,”.
