None

Samsung is blaming the Google Discover feed for recent touchscreen issues that some Galaxy S23 owners have been experiencing after updating to One UI 6.1 – but offers a fairly simple solution.
Since rolling out One UI 6.1 to older devices, a small but notable volume of Galaxy S23 owners have complained on Reddit of screen unresponsiveness, lock-ups, and lag since the OTA arrived on their hardware.
According to Samsung, the Google Discover feed could be the culprit for touchscreen performance issues on the afflicted Galaxy S23 series devices.
Due to compatibility issues with some Google app features (Discover), the app developer is improving related servers and apps.
It’s worth noting that the problem is supplementary to the fingerprint scanner, charging, and heat issues that have been plaguing Samsung Galaxy S23 owners since One UI 6.1 began rolling out over the past few weeks.
To clear app data for the Google app, head to Settings > Apps > Google > Storage > Clear data.
You can check if you have the latest version of the Google app via the Play Store listing.
Doing this should remove any issues and help improve the touchscreen responsiveness of your Galaxy S23 handset.

NEUTRAL

After updating to One UI 6.1, some Galaxy S23 owners have been experiencing touchscreen issues. Samsung is blaming the Google Discover feed for these issues, but it provides a pretty straightforward fix.

A small but significant number of Galaxy S23 owners have reported on Reddit that their devices have experienced lag, lock-ups, and unresponsive screens since the OTA arrived on their hardware, following the release of One UI 6.1 to older devices. Initially, it appeared that only people with third-party displays installed had this issue, most likely as a result of repairs.

Nevertheless, malfunctioning updates are common, and some impacted users report no changes to their devices. Samsung claims that problems with the Galaxy S23 series devices’ touchscreen performance may be related to the Google Discover feed.

Samsung advises anyone experiencing problems with their S23’s touchscreen to try wiping out any Google app data and making sure the app is up to date on their phone in a post on the company’s Korean support forums. Restarting the device is also advised. SamMobile has reported that Samsung has indicated that this is merely a stopgap measure until Google resolves the issue.

Affected servers and apps are being improved by the app developer because of compatibility problems with certain Google app features (Discover).

Notably, owners of Samsung Galaxy S23 devices have been facing additional problems with the fingerprint scanner, charging, and heat since One UI 6.1 started to roll out a few weeks ago. Numerous Galaxy AI features, such as Circle to Search, Chat Assist, Interpreter mode, and many more, are included in this OTA.

Go to Settings > Apps > Google > Storage > Clear data to remove the Google app’s data. Through the Play Store listing, you can verify that you are running the most recent version of the Google app. After doing this, your Galaxy S23 phone’s touchscreen responsiveness should be improved and any problems should be resolved.
