In fact, password management application NordPass, recently released its sixth annual Top 200 Most Common Passwords list and it turns out a lot of people are picking a lot of the same passwords.

NordPass claims to have “reviewed and analyzed a 2.5-terabyte database from various publicly available resources, including those on the dark web,” in order to determine the most popular — and most easily cracked — personal passwords. “”.
The study covered data from 44 nations and contained passwords that were either leaked or stolen by malware.

Naturally, if you’re still using passwords like “123456,” you should change them right away. You should avoid certain passwords and password styles, though.
For example, you might be a huge fan of Sunday Night games, but you don’t consider “football” to be a clever password. “football” only takes less than a second to crack and appeared in 59,656 instances, according to NordPass’ findings.
This also applies to terms like “princess,” “computer,” and even “f-ckyou.”. In NordPass’ analysis, the last one was used more than 50,000 times and took less than a second to crack.
Several options are suggested by NordPass for making more secure passwords. First, according to the company, your passwords should always consist of a combination of capital and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols and be at least 20 characters long. Steer clear of everyday terms or information that could be guessed about you.
