MORE FROM FORBESNYT ‘Strands’ Answers, Spangram, And Hints For Sunday, April 21.

Greetings, everyone! Although the weekend is now over, I’m sure this week will be fantastic for you all.

The NYT Strands hints, spangrams, and solutions for today are about to appear.

Guidelines for Strand Play.

The Strands puzzle from the New York Times is a parody of the traditional word search. For the time being, it is in beta, so its survival depends on how many people use it each day.

Every day, a fresh Strands game is available to play. A six-by-eight grid of letters will be shown to you in the game. You will be able to determine the theme of the group of words by looking for commonalities between them. Theme words continue to be highlighted in blue as soon as you locate them.

Additionally, you will need to locate a unique word known as a spangram. This explains the commonalities between the words. The spangram connects the board’s two opposing sides. The spangram can be a proper name, even though the theme words won’t be. The spangram will continue to be highlighted in yellow once you locate it.

In a theme word and spangram, each letter appears once. In addition to connecting letters horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, you can also change directions within a word. To enter your guess if you’re using a touchscreen, double tap the final letter.

You can activate the Hint button by identifying three terms with a minimum of four letters that are not related to the theme. One of the theme words’ letters will be highlighted when you click this.

You’ll have to be alert, so be careful. Sometimes you have to complete a phrase by adding the missing word or words. Sometimes the focus of the game is on homophones or synonyms. Every day will bring a different level of difficulty, and occasionally the puzzle designers will try to surprise you.

I will first tell you the spangram and indicate on the grid where it is located. Afterwards, I will explain the remaining terms and demonstrate their usage.

You have one last warning, this!

This is today’s Strands segment.

Imagination.

On the grid, it is located here.

The remaining words in today’s Strands theme are.

MAGLIE.

CARD.

NIGHT.

ROUGE.

SORCEER.

HARDER.

ASSASSIN.

This is the finished grid’s appearance.

I looked for HIKE, CURE, and SASS to unlock one because I felt like I needed a hint to get started.

I deduced that we’re searching for D&D/role-playing game archetypes since it provided me with the letters for MAGE. The BARD next to it provided me with additional proof. I picked out ROGUE immediately below and KNIGHT at the upper right.

Subsequently, I observed the spangram winding around the words I had previously located. The game was finished by SORCERER, ASSASSIN, and HUNTER.

The spangram was the fifth theme word I discovered after using one hint.
