Sony’s Immersive Tech Concept Puts You in a Room Made of Screens Where You Can Smell Your Enemies

Push Square

So it’s like a lightgun game combined with the Unreal stage thing?
Like, sit me in a car that someone is driving and have it bump and jostle as we go.
So you could have 2 different end products; one where you actually walk in the environment, duck for cover etc.
The car shakes and rumbles and as you drive, you feel like you’re moving as everything moves around you.
And as for the smells, imagine being able to smell the gunpowder, the jungle, dirt, rain etc.

POSITIVE

Is it similar to a lightgun game and the Unreal stage thing? It’s a good idea, but it also makes you feel like you’re stuck in place right now. It would be awesome to have this motion chamber and make it controllable. For example, if I were sitting in a car with someone driving it, it would jostle and bump while we were moving. That’d be awesome.

And if I had to choose, I wouldn’t want to smell that world.

Yes, let’s have one that is overcooked to the level of a pizza. I would like to smell freshly baked pizza.

@Ogbert, I have a hunch that they will eventually incorporate this into the finished product along with the walking mats. You can essentially walk around on top of these things, have you seen them?

Thus, you might have two distinct final products: one in which you actually move around the environment, duck for cover, etc.

Additionally, it would be fantastic if someone followed your suggestion. What if you could play with four or more friends? When you drive, the car rumbles and shakes, and everything around you seems to be moving. Additionally, the driver has the ability to shoot. You can switch roles, etc.

Imagine being able to smell the jungle, the gunpowder, the dirt, the rain, etc. Your brain would be tricked into thinking you were there. especially if you’re in a vehicle or similar.
