Shut the bleep bleep bleep up!
Nintendo has launched a pricey video game-paired alarm clock that uses motion sensors to make sure you get out of bed — or else.
The first alarm will feature your choice of video game protagonists rooting you on to hop out from under the covers — while making noise until you do.
The journey begins with, for example, the sounds of Mario collecting coins in sync, while you fight to find the will to get up and at ’em.
“When you get all the way out of bed, the alarm will stop and you’ll be treated to a brief victory fanfare—hoorah!” Nintendo stated.

Nintendo has released a costly alarm clock that pairs with video games and uses motion sensors to make sure you get out of bed, or else.

Alarmo is a $99.99 product that transforms your next early morning into a virtual adventure featuring the sounds and visuals of beloved video games like Super Mario and Zelda. To use Alarmo, you must have internet access on your Nintendo Switch.

Upon sounding the first alarm, you will be greeted with the voice of your favorite video game protagonist encouraging you to come out of bed.

For example, as you struggle to muster the will to get up and go, the journey opens with the sounds of Mario collecting coins in time. This toy machine will become increasingly aggressive the longer you put off the inevitable.

According to Nintendo’s promo, Bowser, the powerful and evil character, would emerge after a 20-minute period.

Furthermore, the raucous apparatus offers one last delight.

Nintendo exclaimed, “The alarm will stop when you get all the way out of bed, and you’ll be treated to a brief victory fanfare—hoorah!”.

Alarmo was only made available to Switch online members on Wednesday, ahead of its general release in 2025. It can track sleep and produce background noises both during the day and at night.
