Apple’s services become more crucial to increasing the company’s revenue as iPhone sales decline. In an investigation into the most well-liked products and services offered by the company, CIRP released a report that details the services that Apple users utilize.
Around 2 billion customer devices are in use, and Apple revealed in 2023 that it had over 1 billion paid subscriptions. What precisely are those subscriptions, though?
CIRP has previously examined this and has released a new report today that demonstrates the shift in Apple’s service demand.
Twenty-four percent of Apple users have paid for iCloud upgrades, making it the most popular service for 2024. This represents a rise from 60% in 2022.
Second place goes to Apple Music, which has 42% of Apple users as subscribers, up from 36% in 2022.
Following closely behind with adoption rates of 37, 35, and 32 percent were Apple Podcast, AppleCare, and Apple TV(+?).
Apple reported an impressive $24.21 billion in services revenue for the third quarter of its fiscal year, up 14% year over year.
Apple has never raised the free 5 GB tier of iCloud storage, despite the fact that our iPhones and iPads are now more powerful devices. This implies that practically everyone must upgrade to a paid account if they wish to use the service to store backups or other types of data.
