Mobile App Settings: Through the device’s settings, you can control how location data is collected and how much information is used for interest-based advertising in mobile apps. You can choose the “Limit Ad Tracking” (for iOS devices) or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (for Android devices) options in your device settings to stop Nielsen or other third parties from tracking your mobile ads.

Smart TVs and streaming devices are examples of connected devices. Look through the settings on these devices and choose the option to turn off ad tracking or automatic content recognition. You usually have to choose “limit ad tracking” or turn off “interest-based advertising,” “interactive TV,” or “smart interactivity” in order to opt out of such devices. The type of device affects these settings.

Cross-Device Tracking: You can use the different above-described methods to opt out of our browser-based cross-device tracking for advertising purposes. Opting out needs to be done independently for every device and browser you use.
