Code Violet Takes Aim at Dinosaur Horror in June on PS5

Push Square

Code Violet is the (presumably) official title of TeamKill Media’s upcoming third-person horror game, in which players must run, hide, and fight to survive an unfortunate outbreak of genetically engineered dinosaurs.
Despite having an announcement trailer on the official PlayStation YouTube channel and a relatively soon release date of July on PS5, there is an air of unreality to Code Violet that we can’t quite shake.
Another tidbit that could be considered a red flag is that Code Violet is only coming to PS5, which, on its face, would be fine.

NEGATIVE

Players must flee, hide, and battle to survive a terrible outbreak of genetically modified dinosaurs in TeamKill Media’s upcoming third-person horror game, Code Violet, which is undoubtedly the official title. There is a sense of unreality to Code Violet that we can’t get rid of, even with an announcement trailer on the official PlayStation YouTube channel and a July release date for the PS5.

We don’t expect our hair to be blown back because TeamKill’s prior attempts include the decidedly unimpressive Quantum Error and the similarly dinosaur-focused Son and Bone. The fact that Code Violet is only available on the PS5, which would seem harmless on the surface, is another detail that might raise suspicions.

“We do not want anyone modding vulgar versions of the main character as well as other characters in the game,” the developers argue, citing the well-documented and unending deviance of PC players as the reason for this. This seems a little excessive and strange, especially in light of the fact that sq\. Enix still decided to release Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PC despite the risk to its iconic and legendary characters.
