Some major problems with multiplayer and CoD zombies in the most recent Treyarch and Activision game, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, have been fixed by new patch notes. I have been far more entertained by Black Ops 6 than by Modern Warfare 3, the first Call of Duty game to be released on Game Pass on the first day after Microsoft’s acquisition. A “mixed” response has been given to the new game on Steam, though, as crashes and bugs continue to plague many PC gamers. The Treyarch team releases the first CoD update since the official launch while they work on fixes.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 multiplayer has been a lot of fun for me. The decision to add a number of new, chaotic, smaller maps is very much in my wheelhouse, and it has kept me occupied for some of my best CoD multiplayer games in a long time. Maybe it’s because I took a long break after not connecting with MW3. For the time being, I’ve been too caught up in the chaos to notice, but the spawns are definitely lacking, particularly on those new close-quarters Black Ops 6 maps.
Some match types may not be providing the experience rewards you were hoping for, if you have been playing. According to Treyarch, it has simply “increased XP and weapon XP rates for modes that were awarding less XP than expected.” I have definitely felt that there was a significant disparity between the payout I was receiving at the end of rounds. Team Deathmatch, Control, Search and Destroy, and Gunfight are some of the most played Black Ops 6 modes, so this is a much-needed fix.
You won’t be able to get XP by spamming out decoy grenades anymore, but it should be much simpler to unlock and rank up all the Black Ops 6 weapons you desire. Regardless of your progression, you can now choose any option in the firing range, allowing you to prepare your optimal Black Ops 6 loadout in advance. When you access the in-game menu, the last-selected loadout ought to be appropriately highlighted as well.
Treyarch has also fixed out-of-bounds exploits on Red Card, Babylon, and Lowtown. Additionally, it has resolved “a problem that was sometimes impairing matches’ ability to promptly find a replacement player in the event that another player quit the match.”. Additionally, you’ll observe enhanced performance in the Training Course and Black Ops 6 Theater Mode, and private matches won’t terminate automatically if one team is short on players.
Meanwhile, there are some changes in the zombies mode. A side quest in Terminus that wasn’t concluding properly should now. Unexpected undead hordes will continue to appear in Liberty Falls. The Wonderbar GobbleGum now provides you with the Wonder Weapon it promised, and the SAM Trials that were not appearing have been fixed.
That concludes the most recent update. Aside from fixing the “mute licensed music” setting, which was apparently playing up in some situations, there aren’t any significant campaign changes to report. Nevertheless, when I can avoid those absurd rounds of Headquarters on Babylon or Derelict, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the variety available across the Black Ops 6 mission list.
You won’t believe the difference it makes if you bring the best Black Ops 6 gear to your next match. After that, read through all of the Black Ops 6 campaign rewards to see why, despite your preference for multiplayer, you should spend some time playing the story mode this year.
