GSMArena.com

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ launched recently with the Dimensity 9300+ chipset, which was pretty much the only upgrade.
The Tab S10 series stops at 12.4” and goes no lower, but the Galaxy Tab S9 is still around if you prefer an 11” tablet.
Another 11” option, well, 10.9”, is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE.
This is also available in a 12.4” size, still with a 90Hz LCD, the Galaxy Tab S9+ FE.
Samsung has two tablets in the $200 range – the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) and the Galaxy Tab A9+.

POSITIVE

While we discussed smartphone deals in a different post, we’ll concentrate on tablets in this one. A few Windows tablets are included, but these will primarily be Android tablets because Apple isn’t really participating in the Black Friday sales.

The Dimensity 9300+ chipset was essentially the only upgrade included in the newly released Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+. Although it isn’t as quick as the Dimensity, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 isn’t slow either, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ is $150 less expensive. Additionally, you receive the identical 12.4″ 120Hz OLED screen that is IP68 rated and has a S Pen.

If you prefer an 11″ tablet, the Galaxy Tab S9 is still available, but the Tab S10 series stops at 12.4″ and doesn’t go any lower. In contrast to their Galaxy S cousins, these slates feature microSD slots, and this one also sports the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is another 11″ option—well, 10.9″. Despite being a mid-range tablet with an Exynos 1380 and a QHD+ 90Hz LCD, it still supports the S Pen and has an IP68 rating. DeX as well, although due to the USB-C 2.0 port, it does not support external displays.

Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S9+ FE, which has a 90Hz LCD, is offered in a 12.4″ size.

Instead, the price of Google’s Pixel Tablet has dropped to less than $300. Even though its Tensor G2 chip is currently more of a mid-range option, it outperforms the Exynos 1380, particularly in terms of graphics. The display, a 10point 95″ IPS LCD, operates at a mere 60 Hz.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) and the Galaxy Tab A9+ are two of Samsung’s tablets that cost around $200. With 10point 4″ and 11″ LCDs, respectively (60Hz and 90Hz), they are about the same size. While the Exynos 1280 and Snapdragon 695 offer roughly equal performance, the Tab S6 Lite has DeX (only on its own display; no video output). However, the A-series slate is less expensive, and for the extra money, you can get a sizable microSD card.

The Fire Max 11 from Amazon is the latest in the 11″ LCD lineup. It costs about the same as the Tab A9+ and has a pixel density that is nearly identical (212 ppi vs. 206ppi), but there are differences in the displays. The Samsung’s display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, while the Amazon slate’s IPS panel has a 15:9 aspect ratio. Although you will need to install the Google Play Store or use Amazon’s app store for the Fire tablets, both are excellent for streaming.

At just $75 for the 3/32GB model (note that this is with ads), the Amazon Fire HD 10 is inexpensive enough to be a stocking stuffer. Although the tablet isn’t very powerful, it does have a good-quality 10.1″ FHD+ display (16:10) and stereo speakers.

Additionally, there is a Kids Pro version of the Amazon Fire HD 10. The price is higher at $110, but it comes with a thin protective case and eliminates the lockscreen advertisements. You can use the two-year worry-free guarantee if the child still breaks it; simply return it to Amazon.

Alright, let’s begin expanding the meaning of “tablet.”. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2024), an ARM-powered slate running Windows 11 with Copilot+ AI features, is the first one and is fairly conventional. You can choose the Snapdragon X Plus model, which has an LCD and a 10-core CPU. The Snapdragon X Elite model, which has a 12-core CPU, has a 13″ screen instead.

Although the Asus Zenbook Duo is a laptop in name, it features a wireless QWERTY keyboard that fits inside a clamshell design with two 14″ OLED touchscreens. The fact that it cannot be folded like the Zenbook Fold indicates that the screens are covered by glass and do not wrinkle. This Windows computer also has an Intel Core 7-155H Ultra (Core 9 Ultra is also an option).

Despite having a 6.8″ 144Hz FHD+ OLED display, the Razer Edge is more akin to a smartphone than a tablet. With a cooling fan, it runs Android on the Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 and is only connected via Wi-Fi. Because the Kishi V2 Pro controllers are detachable, you can use them for both native Android games and streaming games.
