In contrast, Selena Gomez opted for warm earth tones, pairing a form-fitting brown halter top with a khaki-colored trouser and blazer, finishing off her look with a pointed metallic brown pump and her hair slicked back in a bun.
I couldn’t help but think of the last couple of times we saw these two out on the town in New York City in 2023.
On both occasions, the pair opted for sophisticated, but opposing neutrals, allowing them both to stand out while giving off a sense of cohesion.

Both women left their partners at home—or, in Swift’s case, Travis Kelce was at a Big Slick charity event in Kansas City—to meet up at The Monkey Bar in New York City. Based on a blurry photo that appeared on DeuxMoi’s Instagram page, the rumors seemed especially juicy there. Though more pictures of the pop stars leaving the bar later in the evening have since surfaced, and we must discuss their best friend dress code, not much else could be inferred from the photo at the time.
Swift gave up her recent flower obsession in pictures posted by People in favor of a black silk and wool Gucci set that included a skirt and tank top with silver sequin trim. Considering that the skirt costs $2,500 and the top costs $3,500, this is one of Swift’s more expensive looks. A black Gucci bamboo handle bag (which retails for $4,700, but appears to be available on TheRealReal for $1,845) and a pair of tall silver platform heels completed her all-black ensemble.
Everything else was Taylor in the classic sense. Her signature red lip, winged eyeliner, and her natural waves pulled back in an easy updo completed the ensemble. Additionally, it appeared that she switched out her lavender manicure for a silver one, according to additional images DeuxMoi shared.
