The titles changed hands on the show

DW (English)

It was an eventful night at the WWE Performance Center on Aug. 13, as two championships changed hands on this week’s NXT.
First, No Quarter Catch Crew took back the Heritage Cup from The Family.
Tony D’Angelo beat Charlie Dempsey for the title back in May, but that was before Wren Sinclair was a part of the NQCC.
Then, in the main event, Andre Chase & Ridge Holland brought gold back to Chase U when they beat Axiom & Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team titles.
Frazer & Axiom haven’t been on the same page for a while, and that was an issue in this one.

On August, it was a memorable night at the WWE Performance Center. 13, as this week’s NXT featured a switch of two championships.

The Family lost the Heritage Cup to No Quarter Catch Crew first. In May, Tony D’Angelo defeated Charlie Dempsey to win the title, but that victory came before Wren Sinclair joined the NQCC.

As with all Heritage Cup matches, it was contested under British Rounds rules. Sinclair not only got into a heated argument with Dempsey after he gave up the first fall of the match, but he also tripped up D’Angelo late in the bout when he was about to superplex the leader of Crew Catch. Dempsey won the match 2 falls to 1 as a result of Dempsey’s pin. It provided Tony D with justification to ask NXT General Manager Ava for a rematch.

After that, Andre Chase and Ridge Holland won the NXT Tag Team titles from Axiom & Nathan Frazer in the main event, bringing gold back to Chase University.

There was a problem in this one because Frazer and Axiom haven’t been in agreement for a while. However, Chase U ultimately prevailed because of Holland’s strength. Following Chase’s elimination by Axiom for blocking Frazer from executing a move from the top rope, the former rugby player became a big clothesline. Holland then delivered his game-winning finish to capture his first WWE championship. After a brief tag title run with Duke Hudson the previous year, this is Chase’s second.

On the most recent NXT, one champion did succeed in keeping his title. Otis, who had accepted the open challenge for a title shot on Monday’s Raw, was defeated by Oba Femi, who extended his reign as North American champion.

We don’t think Otis’s or anyone else’s chances are good, even though he claims he’s not done with Femi.
