If not… 3 Shepard93n7 Gaming is healing 🙂↕️ 4 PSNGamer My PS5 wait times have been 30 seconds or so.
8 Americansamurai1 Keep getting worse for concord, I expect a desperate attempt to save the game soon from Sony.
Maybe adding it to plus or free to play but not even sure that would save it.
49 StrickenBiged Why does anyone think making the game F2P will save it?
Make the game free or put on PS+ to give it a boost.
And now because of low player count they want to give the game F2P??
61 DDDD @Ainu20 No because geving the game F2P now just shows they could do that from release.
Low player count and not even a week after release it’s possible to maybe play the game for free??
And it still would lack something special to make players choose it over other established F2P games.
Because that’s what you were initially saying, that going free to play would be a slap in their faces.

With regards to the quantity of players, this has got to be among the worst “AAA” live service launches ever. It’s a true shame for the developers who put in so much effort into it, but I hope they can give it up and move on to something else. The decision to turn it into a hodgepodge of every other superhero/marvel film led to its downfall.
6. .
DEATFaninATL.
Developers’ decision to leave AI out of their multiplayer offerings has always baffled me because it should allow the game to continue to support playable matches and consequently more revenue even after the player base eventually declines (unless you’re COD). I’ve wanted to play multiplayer games (MPGs) many times after they’ve been released, but I’ve passed on games I otherwise would have paid money for because I discovered the matchmaking is essentially nonexistent. Given the widespread use of AI in modern technology, one would think that maintaining a game would be simple. One good example of this is KILLZONE: Shadow Fall.
7. .
PloverNutter.
@Loamy The developers made the decision to create the current version of the game. Before being acquired by Sony, Firewalk developed this game for six years as a completely independent studio. A group of former Activision and Bungoe developers who were tired of creating COD and Destiny comprise the studio. They claim that this is their unrestrained artistic vision. Instead of always placing the blame for poorly made games on the “suits,” developers should eventually be held accountable.

As things for Concord continue to deteriorate, I anticipate a last-ditch effort from Sony to save the game. It might be saved by making it free to play or adding it to Plus, but I’m not sure about that. You really need to release something that stands out from the crowd in the crowded live service arena.

@PloverNutter has a rather drab, uninspired artistic vision. It is entirely the developers’ fault.

You need large player counts for these games to function, and even then they have some issues. This game is DEAD. That is unfortunate, as I genuinely want to encourage Sony in their multiplayer game endeavors, but they haven’t yet achieved commercial success in this area. They eventually will. Concord, though, is a long way from that.

It’s evident that there are some talented individuals working at firesprite, and despite the mush that we ultimately produced, I think they could make something exceptional if they learn from their mistakes. @PloverNutter one can experience failure and still be talented, no? It took me 20 to 40 seconds in the UK. I must admit, I’m really enjoying it. Although the character designs are awful, I really enjoy the abilities and weapons of those characters.
In addition, I brought Wukong, ordered an Astro Bot in advance, and intend to pick up vampire survivors today. Hey, I enjoy playing a lot of different game genres.

I’ve found that the average match time in the US is between 10 and 30 seconds. I only had one game, and it took me a minute to find it.
There is an absurd amount of hate that players have for this game.
Players are twisted by F2P.
23.
HonestHick.
It was a big game, without a doubt, but @IamJT they don’t own the studio. It’s surprising that they didn’t try to purchase them—or perhaps they did and they’re reluctant to be owned. However, recent online game releases from Sony’s own studios have been a complete bust.
24.
Realist in nature.
I have been waiting for more than 20 hours—possibly twice—since Friday.
25.
Not so much nostalgia.
To be fair to Concord, in FFXIV, a game with thousands of concurrent users, I’ve experienced wait times of minutes for splatoon games and more than 20 minutes for DPS BLMs.
Though I doubt many are playing Concord, even in highly populated games, there is always a wait.
26.

Sure, Sony Studios makes online games like these, @HonestHick. Oh my goodness, what precisely?
27.
HonestHick.
Alright, @SlipperyFish, how about we have a game? I’ll refer to it as successes and failures. The games that Jim Ryan either signed deals for using Sony money or outright purchased with Sony money for unsuccessful live service games will be listed below.

2. . Harmony.
3. . Metal that is twisted.
Facts about the Last of Us.

F2P is a topic that keeps coming up. This would be my last purchase from Sony if they ever made it free to play. However, what about those who already purchased the game?
36.

@DDDD You gift them with in-game skins, cosmetics, and/or money valued at $40. The game will either remain the same and be removed in a few months, leaving those who paid to play for nothing, or they will switch to free-to-play in an attempt to compete (perhaps attracting the 2,000+ players from the beta).

The people who paid for the game will soon run out of options to play it anyhow, unless Sony takes action to draw in more players. Free to play would seem to be the absolute minimum, but even that is unlikely to keep it afloat.
43.
Bez87.
One good thing can be derived from all of this.
Perhaps the first premium live service game where there were no issues connecting to a server and the servers functioned well was ConCord.
Perhaps you won’t get a match outside of peak hours, but at least there won’t be any server crashes.
45.
Golem 25.
A studio with more than 100 developers cannot sustain a AAA live service with a CCU of 2500, so even the numbers attained during the free, open beta would be viewed as a disastrous failure. With such a small player base, not even an anime bunny girl skin cash shop could harpoon enough whales to keep the game commercially viable.
Less than a week from release, Concord had 66 players as of right now, meaning it was a dead man walking when it was first released. It should never have been imagined, the studio should never have been bought by Sony, and the game should have been canceled as soon as Sony acquired the studio.

Who would have thought that making the game free to play would save it? Sure, it might defuse the worst of the problems for a short while, but the little interest we saw during the open beta—at least according to Steam—was obviously insufficient to keep the game going in the long run. On the seventh day after launch, there are only 63 Steam users actively playing the game—not even enough to support seven complete matches!
The saying “don’t pump for Concord” is going to be used by those who are literally trying to sell dead horses because the task now appears to be even more pointless.
Fifty.
Noodles and Rice.
Indeed, @LifeGirl. Businesses that advertise something are selling nonsense; all you have to do is see if they replicate their tactics in the Middle East.
Furthermore, even the people who organize such events don’t think it will work because it’s simple to carry out in a nation that has already undergone change; instead, spread your message to oppressed areas. However, they don’t because it’s much harder. It used to be a regular practice for Greenpeace. This is done by missionaries. They sincerely wanted to spread their message, even though they didn’t believe in it. That is something I can appreciate.
53.
WizzNL.
In contrast to Concord, where there were few players, @NEStalgia’s lengthy lines are caused by the large number of DPS players.
Additionally, you can clear the queues in Final Fantasy XIV by switching to a healer or tank, or you can decide to wait and engage in other in-game activities like crafting, fishing, gold saucer, or anything else. There is a much larger issue in Concord—you can only wait.
52.
Pusher2021.
I am concerned about the developers at this point even though I am aware of how most players feel about this “DOA” game. These developers are not horrible; by no means is it Gollom standard!
Is it even possible to change that player’s amount at this point?
Sony was even aware of the game’s trajectory, but they chose not to intervene, for example, by putting it on PS+. They lose out on the money either way, but this title has generated so much negative publicity that people will remember it for a long time! This could have caused very little harm!
51.
atoqir.
According to what I’ve read, since they disabled region locks and MMR, which cause stomps and significant latency spikes, the issue is more with matchmaking quality than timing.
Sony will continue to deteriorate the longer it puts off changing the business model.

@DDDD To make up for it, they can give them a “founders pack” that includes a large number of free credits to spend at the upcoming microtransaction store in October.
56.
AHH-eer, beeeee.
Rather than continuing with the development, it probably would have been preferable to showcase the game much earlier. could have improved the game in response to early criticism from fans. A game like Overwatch wouldn’t appeal to me. I hope there’s a chance for the developers to create a decent shooter.
To boost it, make the game free or add it to PS+. Continue to the next item after that. Even if they could eventually make the game into an incredible game, I don’t think people would be interested in it anymore because it has already become a joke on the internet.
57.
Stricken Larged.
@Pusher2021 “By no means is this Gollom standard; these are not bad developers!”.
No, Gollum had a higher number of followers on Steam!
Even though I’m kidding, you’re correct—the developers have a lot of skill. It is said to have some of the best gunplay, and the animations are superb. (I played the beta and didn’t really enjoy it, but I haven’t played enough first-person shooters to make an informed opinion).
These incredibly skilled developers were following a very poor brief, which was the source of the issue. They created an extremely well-made game that nobody wants to play.

Wow, @Juanalf. To showcase your character, spend forty dollars on makeup. It’s unbelievable that despite knowing the game would fail, they still wanted forty dollars for it. It just goes to show how Sony and developers simply want to siphon off as much money from players with live service games that give you the barest minimum to begin with. And now that the game has a low player count, they want to make it free to play.
61%.
GGDD.
The fact that the game is now free to play, @Ainu20, demonstrates that they could have done so from the start. But they persisted in trying to get the customer to part with $40. A week after the game’s release and with a low player base, is it feasible to play it for free?

Having no battle pass or other perks to build upon makes it difficult to make this game free-to-play. might necessitate significant alterations to the game. Furthermore, it wouldn’t have anything unique to draw players in over more well-known free-to-play titles.

@LifeGirl, don’t worry, I didn’t purchase the game. They can keep their garbage, and I hope Marathon and Fairgame$ take a similar beating. This generation saw Sony take anti-consumer decisions and invest heavily in live service garbage that expires in a year.

@DDDD You said earlier that going free to play would be a slap in the face to those who paid for it, so how would that benefit them?

@riceNpea they attempted to close the PS3 shop. PS+ changed its system, so you can’t renew your current apartment with a discount unless you upgrade. They have since switched PS Stars. As opposed to two years, points only last a year. Not very consumer-friendly in my book.
