Welcome to the Week 8 grades!
The big news this week is that the Cleveland Browns are back!
The win marked the first time since Dec. 28 that the Browns topped 20 points in a game.
Let’s check out the grades for every team from Week 8, starting in Cleveland.
(The grades for the Rams’ win over the Vikings on Thursday can exclusively be found in our NFL newsletter here.
Greetings from Week 8 grades!
Well, maybe they’re not back, but the Cleveland Browns did pull off a huge victory on Sunday, so that’s the big news this week.
For the first seven weeks of the season, the Browns were the only NFL team that had not scored 20 points in a single game. However, Cleveland’s shocking victory over the Ravens, 29-24, ended that streak. The victory was the first since December. 28 that in a game, the Browns scored more than 20 points.
The Browns turned to Jameis Winston after Deshaun Watson was sidelined for the season. Winston tore up the Ravens defense for 334 yards, which is particularly remarkable considering that Watson had not thrown for 200 yards in any of his seven games this season prior to his injury last week (his season-high was 196 yards).
What grade, then, did the Browns receive for their unexpected victory?
