The 17th edition of UEFA Euro 2024, which will be held in Germany, is rapidly approaching.

England has scheduled two pre-Euro 2024 matches for March. The tournament takes place this summer. To get ready for their summer vacation, the Three Lions will play against two of the world’s best teams, Brazil and Belgium.

What location will host Euro 2024?

Germany is the host country for Euro 2024. After winning their bid in a vote among the UEFA Executive Committee by 12 votes to 4 for Turkey and 1 abstention, they were declared the hosts in 2018.

The dates of Euro 2024 are scheduled for June 14–July 14, 2024. The winter break for World Cup 2022 has brought men’s international competitions back to summertime.

• UK: Two free-to-air, non-subscription broadcasters that only need a UK TV license to broadcast all matches are the BBC and ITV.

• USA: Fox has the broadcast rights for Euro 2024; if you don’t have cable, you can get Fubo TV for $69.99 after a seven-day free trial, or both channels on Sling Blue for $39.99 a month (with 50% off the first month).

• Canada: The Euros are televised by TVA Sports, which charges $17.99 per month or $179.99 for a full year of subscription.

• Australia: Every Euro 2024 game is televised on Optus Sport.

The broadcast rights to Euro 2024 are owned by TVNZ (formerly Spark Sport) in New Zealand.

The World Cup will air on free-to-air channels in both Australia and the UK, with ITV and BBC holding the rights in the UK.

The final three countries to compete in Germany this summer will be determined by the Euro 2024 play-offs in March. Wales is hoping to secure one of the final three spots.

In addition to Wales, 11 other teams have been placed into one of three “paths,” as UEFA refers to them. These teams are essentially seeded based on intricate regulations related to Nations League requirements.

The fixtures are listed below as of right now.

Way A: Wales vs Finland; Poland vs Estonia (winner hosts final).

Path B: Ukraine vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina; Israel vs. Iceland (winner hosts final).

Option C: Kazakhstan vs. Greece; Georgia vs. Luxembourg (winner hosts final).

For instance, Wales would host the winners of Poland vs. Estonia five days after defeating Finland in their one-off semi-final. They will play in Euro 2024 this summer alongside England and Scotland if they win that match.

Which nations are eligible to compete in Euro 2024?

We won’t know the entire starting lineup until the playoffs are over the following year, which will determine who has qualified for the Euro 2024. However, 21 of the 24 teams have already qualified.

What date will the confirmation of all qualified nations for Euro 2024 occur?

European nations compete in the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying tournament. The top two finishers in each group advance to compete in Euro 2024, occupying 20 of the 24 available slots. Germany has already claimed one spot, making them the eligible hosts.

After taking place from March 23, 2023, to November 21, 2023, the qualifying group stage is now over.

A playoff system will determine who gets to keep the final three spots. Three play-off pathways, each with semi-finals and a final, will be available to the top 12 teams who did not advance out of their groups.

The dates of these Euro 2024 play-off matches are March 21, 2024, and March 26, 2024.

What date will the squads for Euro 2024 be announced?

We normally see provisional tournament squads released around four to six weeks before the competition kicks off, so we expect to see qualified teams reveal their squads in May 2024.

Certain countries may be permitted to postpone announcing their squads until after the end of the club season, though, since the Champions League final isn’t until June 1.

What time does Euro 2024 kick off?

Starting at 8 p.m. British Summer Time, or 9 p.m. Central European Summer Time, the opening match of Euro 2024 will take place. Eight o’clock BST and six o’clock CEST will be the times of the knockout matches.

Games in the group stages, however, will also begin at the previously mentioned 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. CEST, and at 3 p.m. CEST (2 p.m. BST).

Which match ball will be used officially for Euro 2024?

Known as the Fussballliebe (which translates to “love of football” in German), Adidas is the manufacturer of the official match ball for Euro 2024.

The World Cup 2022 Al Rihla ball will use the same Connected Ball Technology as this match ball, which will be a first for the European Championships. The ball has an inbuilt sensor that collects 500 pieces of data per second to determine when the ball is—and isn’t—touched. This sensor will aid VAR in making semi-automated offside decisions.

Adidas describes the eye-catching design of the ball as it “represents the movement of the ball and the energy of the game through prominent black wing shapes accentuated with colorful edges, curves, and dots.”. ****.
