Currently, the Los Angeles Rams will host the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC wild-card round on Monday night at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Southern California. Although the league still intends to hold the game at SoFi, a backup plan was unveiled on Wednesday night to move it, if needed, to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the home field of the Arizona Cardinals, the Rams’ NFC West rivals.

The Rams announced on social media that the playoff game is still scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon. A.

“The safety of the Los Angeles community is the NFL’s top priority. We appreciate the first responders’ unceasing efforts. In a statement, the NFL said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with Los Angeles and all those impacted by the fires.”. “We are still getting ready to play the Vikings vs. Rams game at SoFi Stadium on Monday night as planned. As with all games, backup plans are in place in case the venue needs to be changed. If necessary, the game in this case would take place on Monday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. We’ll keep a careful eye on local events and stay in touch with club representatives, the NFLPA, and public officials. “,”.

The league has a recent history of relocating games because of inclement weather. Due to a “winter storm with lake effect snow” that was supposed to hit the Buffalo area before kickoff, the Browns and Bills moved their 2022 game to Detroit’s Ford Field. The Steelers vs. Bills wild-card game was postponed by the NFL last January, one day after a severe snowstorm struck the Buffalo region.

It was obvious that the NFL was considering other stadium options for Monday night given the current circumstances in Los Angeles.
