FromSoftware has patched Elden Ring Nightreign to make it easier for solo players.
Specifically, the new patch adds an effect to automatically revive solo players once when facing a Nightlord, plus the amount of runes gained has been increased.
Firstly, there’s an increased number of high-rarity Relics obtained when players reach the final day of an expedition.
Now, the Duchess’s Restage skill will properly trigger status ailments from other players’ attacks, as well as minor tweaks.
Nighreign is a multiplayer-focused spin-off to Elden Ring, but has been criticised for its unbalanced solo play.
For solo players, Elden Ring Nightreign has been patched by FromSoftware.
Last week, the studio announced that it would be making changes. The update has now been made following a period of server outage this morning.
The new patch specifically increases the amount of runes gained and adds an effect that automatically revives solo players once when they face a Nightlord.
There have also been two general balance adjustments made by FromSoftware. First off, when players reach the last day of an expedition, they can obtain a greater number of high-rarity relics.
Second, acquiring Scenic Flat stones from the Small Jar Bazaar increases the likelihood of obtaining high-rarity Relics. These are typically low level, but when purchased, they offer a random Relic.
Additional modifications include bug fixes and camera adjustments when the Guardian’s Ultimate Art is activated. Together with a few minor adjustments, the Duchess’s Restage skill will now appropriately cause status ailments from other players’ attacks.
Along with fixing some bugs unique to Steam, the climb action has been improved, and the graphics are now displayed correctly on the Low visual setting. In its initial patch notes, the studio had previously cautioned that certain PC setups with the newest graphics cards might encounter frame rate drops; it seems that this issue has not yet been completely resolved.
The multiplayer-focused spin-off of Elden Ring, Nighreign, has drawn criticism for its uneven solo play.
Matchmaking problems, especially on PlayStation, were acknowledged by FromSoftware after it was released.
