The Associated Press doesn’t name alleged victims of sexual abuse without their consent unless they have shared their identities publicly, as Cassie has.
Jane testified Monday she began therapy about three months ago.
In earlier testimony, Jane provided recent examples of Combs acting violently toward a woman while seeking to fulfill his sexual desires.
Cassie sued Combs in November 2023 alleging sexual abuse.
Information and support for anyone affected by rape or sexual abuse issues is available from the following organizations.
The former girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs testified under cross-examination on Tuesday that she participated in sex acts with male prostitutes at the music mogul’s request because it made her feel loved by him, but she now regrets what she realized was the “cuckold” lifestyle.
In order to conceal her identity, the woman was testifying at Combs’s sex-trafficking trial using the pseudonym “Jane.”. She had said the day before that she had been planning to meet the founder of Bad Boy Records, who had been arrested in September at a hotel in New York, and that their three-year relationship had continued until then.
Combs, 55, entered a not guilty plea to charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years to life in prison. He has been imprisoned without being granted bail.
Combs allegedly used threats, violence, and a network of associates and employees to manipulate and mistreat women for twenty years, according to the prosecution. Even though he had experienced domestic abuse in his relationships, his attorneys informed the jury in federal court in Manhattan that all of his sexual activity was consensual.
Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, a RandB singer, testified over four days earlier in the trial that Combs had physically abused her and that she had engaged in hundreds of “freak off” sexual performances during their nearly 11-year relationship, which ended in 2018.
If the alleged victims of sexual abuse have not made their identities public, as Cassie has, the Associated Press will not name them without their consent.
In his cross-examination of Jane on Tuesday, Combs’s attorney Teny Geragos prompted her to talk about the drug-fueled sexual marathons that Combs choreographed, which Jane claimed occasionally occurred once a week. She was reminded that she had expressed regrets in previous testimony.
Jane remarked, “I hate him for guiding me into the way of life he did.”. I didn’t like how he introduced me to this way of life. “.”.
She claimed that she had consented to these “hotel nights” while “under a lot of emotional pressure” and that she was already interested in Combs and wanted to continue their relationship.
Jane, who started therapy roughly three months ago, testified on Monday. She had previously had meetings with Combs’s defense attorneys, but she ended them in April, just a few days before the trial started.
She said that although she finds it difficult to comprehend why she continued to attend “hotel nights” despite the fact that all she wanted was to have sex with Combs, the reasons are “becoming more and more clear” as she continues her therapy.
When Jane first started having these covert sex encounters with Combs, she thought it was “something very special.”. In order to avoid passing judgment on him, she stated that she “really wanted to just go along with these things because if I can be my partner’s escapes then I would be.”.
According to Jane, she looked into sexual variations in 2022 and discovered the terms “cuck” and “cuckold,” which seemed to fit the lifestyle she was living because a man who is known as a “cuck” gets pleasure from watching “his woman receive pleasure” from another man.
Jane gave recent instances in her earlier testimony of Combs abusing a woman in an attempt to satisfy his sexual cravings.
In November 2023, allegations of sexual abuse led Cassie to sue Combs. The lawsuit was resolved for $20 million in a matter of hours, but it sparked Combs’ criminal investigation.
