Even though we’re now immersed in midwinter-like cold, last month was the warmest November on record in the D.C. area — largely because of a spate of summerlike days early in the month.
Dec. 3 isn’t the anniversary of any memorable D.C. weather events, but in 2012, the temperature climbed to a record high of 71 degrees.
That abnormally warm day was one of many that year — which turned out to be the District’s warmest year on record.
