Prince Edward, in a huge contrast to his controversial brother Prince Andrew, has remained as one of the most trusted members of the royal family and especially to King Charles.
Edward has been an image of a humble royal, where as Andrew had been dubbed as the arrogant once by palace aides and royal experts.
Despite his troubled childhood experience with his bully brother, it is understood that Edward is not particularly happy but not complaining about the decision, according to a royal author.
“Andrew bullied his little brother when they were younger,” royal expert Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly, noting that they did grow close over the years.
Despite having a cordial relationship with him now, Edward has “no choice but to fully support” his eldest brother Charles and his efforts to rid himself of the “problematic” royal.
Unlike his contentious brother Prince Andrew, Prince Edward has maintained his position as one of the royal family’s most trusted members, particularly with King Charles.
Having risen through the ranks, the youngest son of the late Queen Elizabeth inherited his late father Prince Philip’s title, Duke of Edinburgh, at Charles’s request.
Whereas Andrew was once referred to as the arrogant by palace aides and royal experts, Edward has always been seen as a humble royal. According to a royal author, despite his difficult upbringing with his bully brother, it is known that Edward is not especially pleased with the choice but is also not complaining about it.
On behalf of Prince Andrew, Buckingham Palace issued a statement denying any wrongdoing but stating that he would give up the use of his royal titles and his dukedom as the accusations against him mount.
Royal analyst Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly that although they did become close over time, Andrew had bullied his younger brother.
Edward has “no choice but to fully support” his older brother Charles and his attempts to get rid of the “problematic” royal, even though they currently have a friendly relationship.
