On September 25, Hades II will visit Switch and Switch 2

The 1.0 version of Hades II is coming on September 25, for Switch and Switch 2.
Of course, Hades II isn’t exactly new to PC players.
Like the original game, Hades II is likely a timed console exclusive.
According to Supergiant, Hades II will support 120 fps when the Switch 2 is in TV mode.
That drops to 60 fps for Switch 2 in 1080p, while the original Switch can handle that same refresh rate at only 720p.

POSITIVE

At Nintendo Directs, Supergiant has a habit of revealing its most significant Hades news. During a Nintendo stream, five years after the initial game’s release, the developer made another move. On September 25, Switch and Switch 2 will receive the 1.0 version of Hades II.

For PC gamers, Hades II is obviously nothing new. For sixteen months, it has been available there in early access. Even though it’s a pre-release version, there are more than 63,000 reviews on Steam. It is generally received in a “very positive” manner (and “overwhelmingly positive” for English-language texts). Along with the game’s console debut, the 1.0 edition promises the game’s real conclusion.

Naturally, the Nintendo Direct only discussed the Switch versions. However, we were already aware that the Mac and PC versions would be released concurrently with them. Therefore, its listings on Steam and Epic should be updated shortly. Like its predecessor, Hades II is probably only available on certain consoles. Therefore, even though it isn’t official yet, PlayStation and Xbox versions should be available soon.

Supergiant claims that when the Switch 2 is in TV mode, Hades II will support 120 frames per second. Switch 2’s refresh rate drops to 60 frames per second in 1080p, whereas the original Switch can only manage that at 720p. Both the Switch and Steam versions will cross-save with each other.

In the Hades sequel, the main character is no longer Zagreus but rather his sister, the underworld princess Melinoë. Chronos, the father of Hades, the Titan of Time, and a real jerk, is her opponent. According to Supergiant, the Switch 2’s roguelike runs smoothly at 60 frames per second.
