No time for rotation: Chelsea supporters’ preferred starting line-up ahead of Wednesday’s game against Real Betis

The Verge

Chelsea’s journey in the UEFA Conference League has seen us travel to new and exotic places, take on several teams we’ve never played before, and generally face opposition of a much lower level than ours.
That has resulted in lots of rotation for these midweek encounters, with an almost completed separate A/B-team distinction in the first-half of the season.
But proper opposition awaits in tonight’s final, so for the WAGNH Community, this is now no time to rotate — even if we did play a very intense match, both physically and emotionally, on Sunday (and Betis have two days extra rest).
So it’s the usual suspects, including a chance at redemption for Nicolas Jackson.
Filip Jörgensen does get the nod over Robert Sánchez in goal though (much like he’s set to get the nod from Enzo Maresca).

Chelsea has played against a number of teams we have never faced before, traveled to new and exotic locations, and generally faced opposition of a far lower caliber than our own during our UEFA Conference League journey. With a nearly finished separate A/B-team distinction in the first half of the season, this has led to a lot of rotation for these midweek matches.

That distinction became somewhat hazy after we reduced the squad during the January transfer window, but even in the knockout stages, we witnessed a lot of activity from Academy kids and fringe players (including 16-year-old Reggie Walsh making his debut).

Even though we played a very hard game on Sunday, both mentally and physically (and Betis have two days off), the WAGNH Community cannot afford to rotate now because proper opposition awaits in tonight’s final.

Thus, it’s the usual suspects, including Nicolas Jackson’s opportunity for atonement. Although he is expected to receive the nod from Enzo Maresca, Filip Jörgensen is chosen over Robert Sánchez in goal.

77 percent, or 4-2-3-1.

77 percent Jörgensen | 95 percent Cucurella | 84 percent Colwill | 70 percent Chalobah | 71 percent James | 90 percent Enzo | 97 percent Caicedo | 75 percent Madueke | 95 percent Palmer | 80 percent Neto | Jackson (87 percent).

The remaining players are Tosin (35 percent) after a few impressive league performances, Tyrique George (20 percent), Jadon Sancho (19 percent), and Malo Gusto (25 percent).
